Just curious...
Doesnt matter if this is on a daily or a weekend, or track car.

Theres a handful of e85 pumps already up and running in my state but most of them are far south or far North of me.
The only pump I can reasonably drive to right now is 62miles away according to map quest. So thats 124miles round trip which is half a tank just to get the stuff. LOL

So therefore I wont be making the switch over to it anytime soon, I will have to wait till some closer pumps are built, but good news at least they have made a ethanol pipeline running from Orlando FL
( Were the nearest e85 pump is at to me ) running to Tampa Fl ( basically were I live.) and theres a few ethanol plants that are soon to go up and running at the Port of Tampa! Therefore they have put more and more emphasis on bringing e85 in to my city and from reading different articles Im thinking by summer of next year I will be able to run it full time... That gives me time to prepare, still need new clutch setup and a 3rd gear rebuild. Plus Im going to mess around with n2o a little bit in the meantime. E85,N20,E316g setup ftw~! :thumb:

It is 54 miles for me each way, needless to say that is too far just to fill up the tank. I fill up a few 15gal fuel drums I have and keep it at my house. So I make the trip every month or so.

I feel for you guys without stations close enough to be convenient, it really is that good of stuff. I've got 2 stations within 3 miles and another 3 within 10 miles, too bad they overcharge badly around here. ALWAYS 50 cents below regular, BS compared to the rest of the country but oh well

Thanks to the new Kum & Go (108th & Giles for omaha people) I now have 2 stations within a 5 mile radius of my house. But if i get out on the other side of town i may have to drive 15-20 miles towards home to get E85. Luckily i live close enough to the yuppy side of town to have it near me :D

I drive about 4 miles for it. There is only one station that sells it here in Alexandria. But I and other tuners have it good in MN. Just about every town you drive through with more than 1,000 people in it has an E-85 station.

Kum&Go also known as Sperm&Split must be a midwest thing here bc they are everywhere. WE actually have blender pumps now. You choose the ethanol blend from E-10 to E-85. Which is nice bc usually they blend E-85 down in winter months(E-70) which sucks for when the car is tuned for E-85.

haha sperm and split....hahahaha! I drive a 30 mi round trip to get my juice. It isn't bad becuase its the closest town with a wallmart, menards, mall and all that jazz, so I usually make the trip couple times a week anyway.

Yea you guys are lucky, it appears the majority has it within less than a 25mile round trip to them... For me to switch full time e85 on my DD I would need it to be within at least a 35-45 mile round trip for me to be motivated enough to go get it... I currently have to drive over 100miles round trip for the stuff

After I get another vehicle towards the end of the year and a new clutch I think Ill start making the drive though. Im looking to buy a little 4banger Toyota truck for a DD( the kind with a cab, with half backseats)...
Then I need to put another clutch setup in the dizzum, my current clutch setup has grown far too weak to do anymore hardcore 2step launching, and with my race gas tune and e85 in the tank Im sure it will slip with even some highway pulls... Im borderline now on its torque holding capabilities with my pump gas tune at 25psi.

So with new clutch setup, and another vehicle I plan on purchasing a large gas bin ( the pump kind) and putting it in the back of the truck and riding out to the nearest e85 station and filling that up once every 2months or so, since the laser wont be on the road much anymore; and that way when I do drive the dsm I will be able to have some fun with a sub 400awhp e316g dsm deep in the 11s. N2o will make things even more interesting after that :sneaky:

is Florida the only state without the juice! i want to switch also!

Florida is being a bi*** about ethanol. We dont have all those corn fields and farmers like all these other people who are posting from the mid west.

Luckily the are considering making ways to make ethanol with our citrus, in which we have abundance of.

Its coming to us, but a slowww process. Hopefully we dont drive slow grocery getters by the time theres a e85 all around us. :p

Nah, but just google it and you can see all the stations avaible.
There some in Miami, jacksonville, halendale, hollywood, and Orlando.
They are going to build more around the central Fl turnpike, and also more around the palm beach area turnpike. Out of all those locations the Orlando area turnpike is the closets, but like i said its like a 124mile round trip for me and not reasonable to run it all the time. I want easier access to it than that, So im waiting for it to come to Tampa/ Brandon area were I live it.
