wow..LOL.. i was just curious approximately. I ran a 6.1 on a 75shot 1/8 mile and my buddy says im pushing close to 600 which i was told my turbo is only good for 400 according to ken @ cheapturbo.com so I was just asking a simple approximate not for a bunch of crap scarcasm which is a bad representation of yourselves... thanks for the input (lack of)

Another option for an very close estimate would be if you have an iphone or itouch and use the dynolicious program. I don't understand how you can spend so much money on your setup, but you can't cough up 100 bucks to do some pulls on the dyno WTF.

Close to 600hp and never thought to take it to a dyno?

This actually made me laugh. ROFL

i moved to texas from florida a week ago and there are no awd dynos near except houston and with gas hotel and dyno cost with my new addition to my family its not possible. I have a huge ported head and cams waiting to go on but am trying to find a new job so i dont wanna tear my car down when i dont have to. I was just trying to get an idea, I dont know what kinda hp to expect from the turbo i have now. I wasnt trying to upset or get anyones panties in a twist just asking a dull question.

Honestly, there are just too many variables. Not to be rude, but you are just wasting your time with asking the same question different ways. Every car is different. With moving, a new addition, and trying to find a new job, get your priorities straight and then spring the cash for a dyno session.

OT .:. that is by far my most favorite valve cover ever. I'm gonna say it now ... I have to copy on my ride since I have to have one modified for more crank case pressure release on my setup.

Sorry for the disturbance, carry on!

i got bored and cut out a piece of aluminum to make a coil on plug setiup and then read up people blowing out spark at high psi so stuck with what i had and then decided to rattle can it and since the car has a built 7 bolt i stuck a sticker that says crankwalker on it. all this and i was just curious a rough number LOL.... guess you cant ask questions on this site..

But to tell you the truth... I would just use the search feature to find someone with close to the same mods as you have and start PMing them to see what they put down and how they have their tune setup. The MODS. just don't want a whole ton of posts here asking what kind of power people will make and what not. There are too many variables that can determine what power you will put down and what your setup is capable of.

Just out of curiousity, why isnt bench racing isnt allowed in the forums? Is it illegal to talk about or just a rule they made up upon making this site?

This is how Ludachris defined it, before he went through and revised a few sections of the Rules a couple of months ago:

No "bench racing". Bench racing is defined as posting hypothetical questions to try and see how fast or how powerful your car is, or will be. If you want to know what time to expect at the track, whether or not your car can beat another specified car, or how much power it will have with a particular modification (or mod list), then go to the track or the dyno and find out for sure. Do not ask for people to guess in our forums. It's pointless and it wastes space. Serious enthusiasts go out and do it, they don't talk about doing it. If you're not serious about performance, find another online community to be a part of.

This is the yardstick used on this forum to define it.

Use the search function you will find out. I searched for "Bench Racing" and came up with these:

Bench Racing Sticky

what is bench racing

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drag-strip/133240-track-talk-no-bench-racing-threads-no-kill-stories.html

Curious: Why exactly is bench racing illegal here?

Need More???

I know what it measn i was just curious why it wasnt allowed. Nevermind though. Thanks for the post.

ok so we understand that, so what about when people are being assholes or over scarcastic to the point of pissing people off? i believe i read this in the rules ... No elitist, smart-ass, or negative attitudes. Be helpful and friendly to all, no exceptions. so your smartass post put you on the chopping block also correct.. "Need more?"

Thank you grail. I was just asking not being a smartass. Im new to this forum stuff.

you are probably making about 400 at the crank. A couple of rules of thumb, every 15psi is approximatly double your hp. n/t's made 135, doubled twice would be 570, but you have less compression, and turbine back pressure, so 400 is probably right.

also every 1psi is about 10hp on our engines. so...200hp stock plus 21 extra psi = 410hp.

instead of all this bickering someone could teach him how to estimate his hp.

I answered all of your questions other than the ones you're not supposed to post. And pointed you in the correct direction as to where to get the information you needed. I'm sure you are using the search feature right now as I suggested. And you will come up with the answer you were looking for. The info you were looking for is already here on this site and there are plenty of ways to get that information. And yes it is general practice to have a little fun on this site too. :shhh:
