Looks like the pontiac gto with those vents.
Thats the first thing I thought also. I kind of like it, it has an interesting look. :thumb:

GSX, what kind of side mirrors are those? I've never seen them, very cool looking

kronus, I think you guys have hit a nerve. I went out and did a quick search to see what everyone was talking about (see below). As for the bumper work, that was all my buddy Josh - we're trying to get him signed up so he can comment.

RavenTSi, I guess there could be worse things to be compared to ... say an 84 Nissan Maxima - no offense to 84 Nissan Maxima owners.

Strm Trpr You have the ralliart lip too? I decided to leave mine off because I couldn't get past the way the ends slope up . I'll be looking forward to see what yours looks like molded. As for the dimension of the AGP FMIC, I think they are something to the effect of 24" wide x 14" high x 3" deep. Thanks for the double 'thumbs up'

eagle97talon, those are the Euro DSM mirrors. I was fortunate enough to collaborate with a DSMTuners member overseas who helped me obtain them. The car will be running both Euro mirrors and tails.

I like it. SO MUCH that I would make them bigger to get a better proportion to the rest of the car. What do you think? I tried to follow the line at the base of the headlights with the PS. By the way, what mirrors are those. I've never seen them before.

Injected, not a bad idea ... not a bad idea at all. Although I am very happy with the finished product. As for the mirrors, those are the EDM mirrors available on the European model.

Well, it's been a fun ride .. I guess I'll stop milking this cow (err, I mean thread). Thanks for to everyone that shared their opinions - it's been fun.

To be honest with you I am surprised you did not run the sides the Mitsu nostril way instead of the Pontiac nostril way. Best of luck, and thanks for something interesting and different to discuss.

If you grabbed both nostrils from the point in the middle of the bumper, and lifted them up, it would creat the bottom portion to the mistubishi symbol ---> :dsm: Ok I put way to much thought into that. ROFL

BTW "GSX" your avatar looks mean as shit!!!! :rocks: Very futuristic looking :thumb: Love the new look.

I'm anxiously awaiting word on how to fill in the fog light holes. I just can't get over how great that looks, and wonder why mitsu didn't just say screw the fogs from the onset.

My buddy just did the same thing on his front bumper. He used some urethane from a donor bumper and cut it to size. the roughed the edges of both the bumper and the urethane, drilled holes in the donor piece and used a Lord Fusor urethane/plastic bonding adhesive to "glue" the pieces together. He trimed what extra plastic product there was and used Evercoat plastic repair products to do the rest of the filling and shaping. I will post some pics whenI get home later today.

BTW car looks great. What all is done to the motor?

i have a fitment question/issue...

is the bumper support removed on these photos/installment? i ask because i noticed that the bumper is almost in direct contact with the bottom of the headlights and front fenders, which is incredibly hard to do without the bumper support because the bumper is only then connected at the center under the hood and on the sides with one bolt.

btw, looks phenominal, and i actually hate you because my bumper is being shaved currently, but i'm better because i'm shaving the sidemarkers to, ba hahaha! jk man, looks great!

Holy old thread revival by me... OMG

Awesome description of the process involved, that's probably what was done on mine as well. Just seems you know the products involved it a bit better. Thanks for sharing.

As for the motor, built 6 bolt motor w/ 9:1 compression wisco pistons on eagle rods.

Bumper support is removed ... I consider my FMIC the 5 MPH bumper - in fact it has served as a 5 MPH rash bumper once before.

:shhh:

Bumper doesn't have any problems with staying on the nose nice and tight. You are correct it is connected at the center with 5 bolts and then at the sides with 1 bolt per side. Haven't had any adverse effects as a result though.

Again, I apreciate all the kind words.
