Just curious. I just built my pipes and was wondering how many other people have in their intercooling system? I've got 5. But I think I can get it down to 4 by welding one peice. But I think then I couldn't get that pipe off later easily.

Are you including the one for the throttle body elbow or the one coming off the turbo?

All of them after the compressor housing. Or if you want to think of it this way, Anything under pressure. What I'm trying to get at is if you eliminate a coupler you effectively eliminate a place for it to possibly pop off!

Then I have seven due to the gm maf. If I didn't have the gm maf, I would have six.

I`ve 7 and one stock piece of intercoolerpipe

would be lot less if I wouldn`t keep the A/C.

btw. only hose popping of is the little stock one LOL

I have 9 LOL I haven't had any pop off since I flared the end of the pipes. holds 30lbs great. And I'm using crappy clamps too. :)

I have all stock piping, put into the end tanks with TWO couplers (bl) LOL, but It's working for now.

turbo to intercooler #1 and intercooler to throttlebody #2. total of 2
And I have a total of 4" of intercoler pipe not including the 2g tb elbow. and the 4" is the compressor outlet, (e316g)

I actually will be using 0 but not wiggins(which by the way cost like 300 a piece) I found a company that makes v band clamps that are made for IC piping at a good price. I"m gonna have 3" flanges welded to my IC(haven't decided between fmic or Water to air) and then have the pipes welded together. Only hard part is welding one onto the TB because I wanted to use a Q45:confused:
