so i been thinking of the size exhaust i wanna put on my car and i just cant decided. how bout a little help. i was thinking 3" but someone told me it was to big and i was going to lose bottom end and to do 2 1/2" but i heard you don't lose bottom end w/a turbo car. so i asked my other friend he said do 3 1/2!! i just cant decide. what do you guys like?

3inch

Yeah, a lot of people go with the 3", but I don't see why 3.5" would be bad if you can find it - don't worry about bottom end either, there is none to lose! Haha, no you might lose a little torque off boost because of a lack of back pressure, but it won't really be noticeable.

3" is more than enough for 98% of the dsm'ers out there. Theres no reason to go bigger unless you are making insane power with a large snail and/or stroker, or you have a hookup that can do it for the same price, and you want a really deep exhaust tone.

I've been running a 3.5" for a while. I want to step up to a 4", but I'm too broke right now..HAHAH

I run 3.5"

Its very loud, especially combined with a open dump wastegate.

The real question is, are you making enough power were a readily availible 3" exhaust is a restriction?
