I think it looks good. Have you noticed lower coolant temps? I might try this if my car runs too hot with the fmic.

I can assure you he will see considerably lower coolant temps due to this mod. My vents are much smaller but I see much lower temps because of this.

dennyt4 good job on trying something new. My originall thoughts were to do something similar before I settled on my current setup. BTW, aside from the stroked motor we have similar tastes.

did you raise your car ? throw some lowering springs on there asap

Thank you very much! Your car was partially my inspiration to do it so I appreciate your comments!! And I sooooo love the color of your car.

EDIT - GSX, Don't want to copy too much, but I've seen a couple of guys with filled in (EDIT)FOG lights...how did you do that? Fiberglass? I love that too!

Maybe you didn't read the ORIGINAL FULL BODY PIC POST where I said I have the coilovers sitting in my garage waiting to go on??? Yeah, I actually RASIED the car  Not to mention, have you seen my mod list? Do you think lowering it has been my highest priority the last couple of months? LOL I had a little down time this weekend and decided I wanted to do one visual mod that also helped get my temps down - geez!

I'm also jumping on the "looks like a sentra" bandwagon. Looks good, and I definatly commend you for trying something new!

All the Sentra guys can wait until I get the Mitsu logo back in the center and then decide. That is exactly why I ordered the emblem - it really NEEDS something in that space. Once it's in there, it will look like my Evo 9 did, or a little more like the original part of the bumper of the Eclipse did where the imprinted logo was.

I'll take another pic once that arrives.

+1 for being a little different. It actually looks good and the cut you made looks clean and even. I remember someone on here with a White Spyder that kinda did the same thing but his lines were not even and looked kinda crappy. The rubber weatherstripping/seal you added also cleaned up the install a bit.

Without the Mitsu emblem it does kinda look like a Sentra so I'm looking forward to pics with the emblem installed.

Thanks! Yeah, the stuff I used was door edging so it doesn't follow the edges of my cuts exatly. I plan on doing some fiberglass work if I end up keeping it so it's better defined.

Hopefully that emblem shows tomorrow - I'm dying to get it on!

Well while I'm taking my lumps ROFL and waiting for the emblem to get here, I did a little more Photoshopping. I've been kicking around the small black lip, so I put that on to see what it would look like along with the other changes I've made. I like it a lot, and think I'm going to buy one...opinions?

I like it and will give you one suggestion. Box in the holes. Its not that hard and you see an even bigger improvement in temp reduction. Also when the cooling fans kick on it pulls air though your FMIC and cools it even more.

Thanks...Which holes do you mean? Do you mean put ducting on the sides from the FMIC to the A/C condensor and the radiator? I've seen that write-up somewhere and plan on doing that as well.

nice i like it very different you need s smaller emblem though, then it would kill

Thanks - we'll see what the real one looks like when it gets here.

OOPS! My bad, yes - FOG LIGHT holes hahaha

Full body pic...

And yes, I know I need to lower it a little LOL The coilovers are sitting in the garage, just need to get them on!!

HA! I'd get them out and do it asap. I like your idea for the bumper too, just don't think i would do it to mine though. A++++ Good job on coming up with a new concept on air flow and heat reduction.

Yes, and the fog lights holes too!

Thought you were talking about this... v. see pic below .v

Don't want to hi-jack dennyt4's thread but since he asked (and others) how the fogs where filled in I'll do my best to answer. I can't take any credit for it as that was my buddy Josh who does awesome auto/body work. What I can tell you is that he used my donor 2Ga bumper to cut pieces to fit in the fog holes, and then used a product he referred to as 'plastic repair' to attach them -- I think that might be a 3M product. Once completed he literally let everything cure for nearly a month before he began working on the bumper to make sure everything was bonded optimally. If you have more questions I did my best to answer them here at the time:
