I bought these motor mount inserts and install them in my motor mounts. Then I dropped the engine in the engine bay. When I tried to install them in with my engine, only the transmission, driver side, and rear mounts would bolt on. The front mount is off by half of an inch. Did I install the back mount correctly? I will include some pictures to show you what I mean. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So you bought the inserts and it no longer fits? Or you bought new motor mounts with new inserts and it no longer fits...? I would just fill your OEM ones with window weld and you'd be surprise how well that works...and my favorite part is you won't need to fabricate anything up to make it work...have you posted on Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Forum - E39A 4G63 yet? They may be able to help you more specifically. Good luck either way!

I would just try "forcing it" into place...longer pry bars and a buddy for leverage...it should work...if not try swapping the inserts around...

Sorry if I wasn't so clear. I bought the VR4 with TEL engine swap in it. Then when I blew up the motor, I decided to change the mount inserts to Prothane since my stock mount rubber was cracked and broken. I got 3 of them go in just fine, but the front motor mount was giving me trouble. I did post it on Galantvr4 forum and they said I have the wrong mount bracket also(#334 is the correct one). I tried to use a cherry picker to lift the front of the engine but it just lifted whole car up also. Hell, me and my buddy even stood on the bumper support but the hole didn't line up. I'm getting a bracket tonight for $20 so we'll see how it goes.

Right on, I understand your situation now...yeah, unfortunately you WILL need the #334 motor mount...good luck in your findings and post some pictures of your setup when you're all mounted up!
