I dunno though, it would look better wingless if it had a longer tail end.
Like if your eyes are following it from the front. It's like "Fluid... Fluid...Fluid... STEEP DROP OFF HOLY FCK. You need a spoiler to lead you up the little slope and then slide off. If you don't it feels empty.
That's just my opinion though, and it doesn't really matter.
Keep the spoiler :D

You shove a wing on the back of that thing and buzz down the freeway, you know how stupid that looks when the tail end of a car is almost dragging into the pavement while the front end is fighting into the wind wanting to take off due to the massive increase of air pressure under the car that is developing?

...and could lose traction control since your drive wheels are up front anyway?

Keep it the way it looks.

Haha, I mean leave the stock wing. When I made my post.
It's there for a reason. They wouldn't put it on to make you're car preform better.
I always laugh when I see civics with the big park bench artwork on the back of the trunk.
I always want to sneak up oon their car at night and mount the spoiler on their hood.
That would be logical...... right?

I dont have any good wingless pics of my car yet, but i recently went wingless and its the best thing ive ever done to my car imo.

Do it!

I think a "duck bill" style rear spoiler like the Z06 would look "just" about right on a 2g. I'd call it more of a "gurney flap" really but it does set the look off just right. It is maybe 3 inches tall and about 20" wide if that.

After seeing the affects on high speed handling of an under engine tray and double rear wing on my 05 Sti, I'm considering an even bigger/aggresive wing for my 2g Eclipse GSX.

From an aesthetic point of view, with the right set of rims, carbon fiber hood, I could see a wingless 2g looking not too bad. But once you go big its hard to go back and I do prefer not to remove downforce from a car that could use every ounce of it.

If I was to choose from the picture EDM provided....I say NO, but his car is on stock wheels and stock height. maybe not the best!

Speak the truth my brother, speak the truth. In my opinion spoilers are an addition to the carm whether it be low rise or high rise. No offense, but no spoiler screams RS to me.

KEEP IT!!

DSM=SEX

Regardless..

Well.
This is my story haha.
I pulled my low rise off my 95 gst.
I like it.
But I got my turbo wing for zipo.
So i'm gonna put it on anyway :]

It's about 600-800 to convert depending on who you have do it.

Yeah I'm glad someone agrees with he around here, haha.

go wingless or go home and dream to be wingless, wingless was the first thing I did when I bought my car, and it looks like sex with old school britnay spears before the crack and kfed, everytime I turn the corner in the morning and see that ass puts a smile on my face.

I think wingless looks badass! But it also depends on the color. And to me silver is once of the colors that goes very well being wingless. I wish magenta gray pearl went better wingless but it just doesn't work for me. And I havent seen to many wingless Magenta gray pearls.

maybe if your doing 200 mph.

The wing was put on the car for looks more so than performance.

To the OP, I think it looks better with the wing. I think the only time it looks good without the wing is when A: The car is lowered B: Has aftermarket wheels and C: Is CLEAN.
Take one of the 3 out of the equation, and it's not going to look right.
Also, keep the stock tail lights. I have never seen aftermarket ones that don't like like shit and scream RICE. Thats my honest opinion

I have a 99 GSX 80k Miles Silver lowered on 18" graphite wheels .

Lowered Check
Clean Check Check
Rims Check

It does look good wingless
But It does look good with a wing.

Such an hard desicion.
