On each of the washers should be some dots/depressions/bumps/etc. These face out. So, manifold->washer with dots down->washer with dots up->turbo bolt.

They're sort of like a lock washer.

Are these washers absolutely necessary? If so, can I gat away with using regular flat wahers or lock washers??

They keep your bolts from backing out. A flat washer with some sort of lock washer, like a split ring, will do.

Is there a reason you don't want to use the OEM washers?

I just dont want to wait to get these shipped or ordered. My local satan never has anything in stock so Id probably have to get them online or something.
So it'd be okay to use some other sort of lockwasher on the turbo bolts? I just bought some ARPs btw(yes, Im willing to risk the quality of their turbo bolts).

But if you're willing to risk it by using the ARP turbo bolts, why not take the risk in using a lock washer/flat washer?

Do it right, do it once, get the right conical lock washers. Split lock washers being torqued that much and exposed to that much heat will just deform to become flat. Will you be ok? Maybe. Some people have not used OEM washers and been fine, others have had recurring exhaust leaks/loose bolts etc because their turbo bolts keep backing out. YMMV.

Anyone have the part # for those oem lock washers? I've been looking here and elsewhere but I can't find it anywhere. I don't want the full 4 + 8 package of bolts and washers, just the 8 washers.

BTW, stock bolts + split lockwashers = backed out and seized bolts FTL! I used Nordlocks before and while they didn't back out, I did have one bolt seize. Each time I was using graphite hi-temp anti-seize, but it still did I blame the old stud possibly damaging the threads as the likely culprit but there really isn't a 100% will not seize bolt/housing solution that I've found.
