tstkl I 100% agree with you on the Air to Water vs. the Air to Air for street driving. If you have a street car, go with a air to air, but for racing, the air to water is the only way to go. As for going down to Sac. probably not this year but next year is a VERY good possibility. I wish the Battle event down ther was later this year, but we cant always get what we want.

I don't know how but I'm thinking if you could incorporate the tech used in like mini fridges to keep water say in the hatch comparment insulated you would have a really good setup for whatever kind of driving you did. I just don't know how much would be lost running lines all the way from the rear to the front of the car. You could put it in the engine compartment but it would be more trouble than it's worth but would be a bad ass intercooling system.

16 X 7.5 Rotas on 26 X 9.5 Hoosiers

what about brake upgrades? i know you are running a chute, but the 16in rotas limit us 1gen guys as to what we can use for a big brake kit...just wondering what you did?

-wes

The tires are Hoosier Quick Time Pro's with Rota Slipstream Wheels. To the best of my knowledge the tires are street legal. As far as the shoot out. No, I dont think Ill be able to swing that trip. I would love to but I dont think that is a possibility.

wher does the DSM shootout take place and when?

thats beat i wanted to see this bad boy at the shootout but o well you have your priorities just like any other racer;) And MattratfTSI the DSM shootout is in Norwalk, Ohio Aug 17-18 if i'm not mistaken correct me if i'm wrong.

wuss up people im from the yakima, washington area and im looking for a 1g awd turbo 5spd dsm. I have a 2005 yamaha raptor(blue) that i'd be willing to trade. hit me up!!!

ANYWAYS I saw your car at Royal City on the 12th, it was pretty sad to see your car just "there" with a big ass turbo=( Cant wait to see it go at the track!!!!:rocks:

Please excuse the "im looking for a 1g dsm" I really want to try dsm's because i've always liked them, but to do that i need one first!

But yeah, any updates??

There is a classified section where I bet someone would probably be willing to trade but this is not that section read the rules before posting next time. Welcome to the site though.

WHere is your storage tank for the water-air and how big is it. I really like the PWR design makes install so much better than the box style.

How about a full mod list on this car. This thing is sic. I just cant stop looking at the pictures. Maybe more pics? haha

That set up is really nice i hope you put down some good numbers!! You should bring it up to colorado's bandimere speedway sometime there are a lot of DSM fans up here that would like to see that monster run i bet !!

As far as the mods list, the one on my profile is real close. If I had more pics Id be sure and post them up. Hopefully the car will be up and running soon. But Ive been saying that for the last couple months...

My response was that while he was right the DSMs have ALOT more going on drivetrain, ect. He then said that the EVOs dont have all that mess, I again agreed.

What is that suppose to mean?

I'm sure that's because since then Mitsubishi evolved into making better awd transmission for 8-9 evo's , so there is less to improve on vs an old DSM transmission except for the subject of going straight cut dog ring to handle more power.

??

Well eagle broke down at sac race way for battle of imports.OMG

Well were back on the car at the shop and we decided to swap over the polk head to the SBR head today. Since the shortblock is goin on 2 1/2 years old and many many miles and hard pulls we decided to take a peak and see how she was doin. Much to out suprise the #3 main cap was just hanging out and one of the main bolts just about wiggled itself out. So, were going to be redoing the bottom end and freshining it up a little bit. Were still going for some end of the month runs. Ill keep everyone up to date. Stay tuned.

Do you remember what kind of clearances you used on the bottom end?

my great friend
BAD DSM rulez :D

very nice project!!!!

We are in the process of rebuilding the the bottom end but that should be done soon. After that everything should go together fairly quick. There is still the fuel and nitrous systems to be built as well as the dash to be mounted. Thankfully the car is wired for the most part so that should not be a big deal. We are planning on running it this month at the second Race Wars in Royal City, Washington on the 30th of this month. I cant race at B.O.T.I . in Seattle because neither myself or the car are NHRA certified and they are following NHRA rules. But I really would like to see how we stack up with the big boys in the sport.

Sounds like a bit of work still left.......keep up the good work!

And yes at BOTI they are quite strict on tech ask me how i know ROFL

I believe you would be in the Pro Import class like Jake M. so i believe it will take 8.60ish ET's to be competitive.....hopefully you don't experience the same drivetrain problems like Jake :thumb:
