I am not denying that, I myself have said that many times in my life about wanting to go into battle. It's the ones that go around saying how they just want to kill someone and they think war is a justification for killing someone. I understand you have to be in the kill or be killed frame of mind. But not to the point that you go around telling everyone you just want to kill someone just to do it. In my mind that makes you a little punk poser and not a professional soldier. That just shows unprofessional they really are. But come on guys lets not get off the subject. Here, I would love to reenlist just so I could hang out with a lot of my old Army buddies that are still alive. I miss it greatly, so much so that it makes me depressed sometimes. I left behind a family of friends, a few who have even lost there lives and not all of it due to the war. A few died in drunken car wrecks, one was stabbed to death at a party. (Even though he did take one of the guys with him to the grave) And one of my old army friends died of cancer. It really makes me sad that I never got to say good by to these old friends. But I will alway hold them in my heart. And even though I no longer wear a uniform, no matter what branch they are in. A soldier, Marine, Sailor or Airman will always be able to come to me for help in a time of need.
I agree. Those are the people I was referring to when I said the ones that want to be cool or sound cool. Whether I am able to join or not when my knee is better, I will always have respect for those that joined the military for the right reason(s).
