Saw this in downtown Denver today. I'm not 100% sure but after reading about custom targa tops, doesn't this destroy the structural integrity of the car?

Yeah, that certainly looks cool. Reminds me of the old 300zx t-top convertibles. But you're right, that definitely compromises the structural rigidity and hurts the performance of the car.
 
Maybe. I thought that it did so much damage that you needed a massive amount of support to compensate?

Andre had so many stripper poles in that ride, no wonder it smelled like ass. :p
 
It doesn't remove any more integrity than a convertible top so it is definitely do-able especially since those cars have that as an option so you can use some stock bracing parts. Do a few rigidity upgrades and you'll be fine, you won't be winning any autox races but you can still turn hard enough to scare the shit out of your friends.
