When I was driving my car today my brakes does not feel the way should to me the pedal feels kind of spongy whenever I was behind a car I would leave a lot room because when I press on the brake the car would stop but it would be close it feels like it does not want to stop right away. I don't know what could be the problem, I have not done anything to my brakes recently.

Check for leaks and the fluid level in your master cylinder. The master could be bad.

I replaced my front pads about 20000 miles ago. I just looked at my fluid level and it's at minimum, what could cause my fluid to be so low?

You might be leaking some brake fluid on harder stops. Just replacing brake pads isn't sure to fix anything. Check the condition of of your brake pads and rotors on the front and back on all four corners. Check to make sure that your brake pads move easily in the brake pads clips. You might have some old brake fluid that has absorbed a lot of moisture. Drain and refill and rebleed the brakes. Check to make sure that all your pistons move freely in all your calipers. Sometimes if you have a seized piston in a single caliper it will produce a spongy feel at the brake pedal. If the car has sat for a while without being moved this can happen. Also remove the brake caliper slider bolts and make sure that the caliper is able to move back and forth on the slider bolts. Clean 'em, relube 'em and make sure they aren't warped. I use hi temp silicone lube instead of hi temp grease.:talon:

I was testing my brakes out today and it sounds like my rear brakes are kind of dragging. What is the best way of adjusting the shoes.

very possibly something mechanical is causing your problem. Again check that your rear calipers slide freely on the slider bolts, check that the brake pads move freely in the holding clips and check that the piston is fairly easy to move in the caliper. Also a brake pad that has been dragging fro a while, might have caused irreparable damage to the rotors or the brake pads. If the caliper is seized and has been draggin on the face of the rotor for a while, it may have caused deep lacerations in the front or back of the rotor. If it did it might have gotten really hot and possibly warped/ damaged the caliper. If so that rotor and that set of brake pads is toast. If the piston doesn't move fairly easily then you might be looking at rebuilding the caliper or replacing it. I had one brake pad that was dragging on the rotor and by the time I was figuring out what was wrong with it the high temp paint (good to 600 degrees) had caught fire and scared the shit out of me. That caliper was toast. Turns out I had a combination of problems. One of the slider bolts was seized on each of the front calipers, my EBC brake pads were just a tad too large and had to be filed down to move freely in the retaining clips and the inner sheath of my brake line has worked it way free and was bunching up. It was only letting brake fluid pressure build but by then was too bunched up to be able to release it. I bought new slider bolts, new calipers, new ss brake lines. I also had to buy new front rotors and new front brake pads. My EBC kevlar Green brake pads got soo hot that they were crumbling apart.:talon:

Should I bleed the brakes first or adjust the shoes in the back are kind of dragging.
