Yea from what ive seen these cars peak at 6200 and tend to fall off pretty good from there with the stock manifold. With the new cams it doesnt fall off like it did before. A SMIM would really be the shit. I did some pulls with a newer gixxer 600 and i was real happy with the out come. Im going to the track soon and if the tranny goes its getting rebuilt for free (Thanks to Andre of Pina Motorsports on that one) so now all my worries are gone. I promise a regulator will be going on soon and a new crank pulley. Hopefully by next week then some dyno time.

It will fall off even less if you dial out some of that overlap. The fp3x cams are cut for strokers. Advancing the exhaust cam a hair will really help once you start pushing the turbo and develope higher backpressure in the exhaust manifold. Just something to try that may work out for your particular setup.

Have you guys ever seen a blown headgasket on a turbod car that doesnt push coolant under boost? I looked in my coolant resivore yesterday and it was filled with oil. Very not good. Car doesnt smoke or push coolant. Still has all the power. I bypassed the oil cooler. Disconnected the coolant lines to the turbo for a few minutes to see if oil would come out of them and nothing. Right now Ive flushed the coolant a bunch and just running water in it to see if the oil will come back. I do have a clogged heater core and going to bypass it tomorrow. Car runs around 206-210 all the time. Hot day or not. I just beat the shit out of it at 26 psi to see if it will push coolant and i got nothing. Help.

That happened to my Talon last August. I had coolant in my oil, and oil in the radiator & coolant reservoir. The radiator was washed out a few times. I retorqued the head (just as a safety check) and none of the studs needed the retorque. Next the oil cooler was bypassed to make sure it wasn't malfunctioning.

When I 1st saw the oil in my coolant reservoir I thought I lifted the head, but now that I look back at the situation....... I have a feeling it was my damn sandwich oil cooler that was mixing the oil/water.

Since then, I've changed my oil several times and I don't see coolant mixed with the oil. And you know how my car ran, so I don't think the head lifted. I still see a little oil mixed in my coolant reservoir, but I think its residual. I flushed and flushed and flushed and theres still a little oil in there. I probably will always see a little oil in my coolant until I replace the radiator.

Hopefully you have already fixed the leak by bypassing the oil cooler. You can change you engine oil a couple times to see if water is still getting in. Buy cheap oil and use it for flushing only, then buy good oil after you know water is staying out. If you want to be real safe, then pull the head and look at the gasket.

Hows it running on the street after you tuned for 26psi? ...Were you able to keep the higher timing that you added, or did you get knock in 4th gear like before?
Did you run it at the track yet?
