Sports And Touring CAr Racing (SATCAR) would like to invite interested drivers to attend the Formula Street Fall Series taking place at four tracks in the Midwest. These events offer a safe, cost effective way to get started and continue in road racing.

Each event will offer run groups for driving school, lapping/practice, race, and lunch time touring - - something for everyone. Drivers will be placed in appropriate groups, depending on track experience.

SATCAR has created a unique form of competition that provides high levels of safety for drivers and their cars combined with a handicap based scoring system that provides fairness for all drivers. The safety based format allows you to enter these events in your street car, or your race car. The scoring system allows a driver to win with 100 HP or 500 HP.

SOUND LIKE FUN - IT IS!! More information can be obtained by visiting the SATCAR web site at: Welcome to SATCAR!. Register for our mailing list so we can keep in touch.

Kern - I hope you guys have a great turnout for your events. I have looked into your series before and it looked like a lot of fun. Do you ever plan on coming down to the Southeast portion of the US? Good Luck !!!

SATCAR is planned to become nationwide (Perhaps worldwide) in its activities. The primary determinant in where and when we go into an area will be driver interest in that area. We have to be able to get a reasonable entry to be able to cover the costs of presenting an event. Secondly, we must be able to book some track dates.

We at headquarters cannot be in all places at once so we are looking for Event Partners near each track who can plan and present the events for the drivers. These Event Partners can be either an individual or a group. The incentive to do this is that the Event Partnership will be a business for the party involved.

Kern - Go to BryanRacing.org - Home and get with Bryan Kemp off of that site. He is the guy who runs the road race series I rcurrently run the Grand Bayou Race Series at No Problem Raceway near Baton Rouge Louisiana. I am sure if you got with him about perhaps bringing a SATCAR event to that facility he would be all in to it. In the GBRS, we usually pull around 45 - 55 entries per event. Any type of cars from "Touring Cars" such as DSMs, Porsches, BMWs all the way up to Speed GT Dodge Vipers.

You should give that site a look and contact Bryan about maybe having an event at No Problem Raceway. Another series to race in would be great :thumb: Good Luck !!!

Kern, I talked with you last spring when you where handing out flyers trying to get this series going. I strongly support the series because it makes sense, the only down fall I see is overall cost and the date of Road America. Being Nov 1 the chance of snow and bitter cold is high. The mid-american series runs Saturday, October 25
2nd Annual Fight for the Cure Fall Classic
Road America

The mid am series day is open to ANY racecar, but maybe something could be worked out for next year to have it as a joint day open to street cars.

I'll probably be tapped out financially by the time SATCARS's season starts but I would like to run Blackhawk at least once as NASA doesn't seem to run there anymore.
I'll put myself in the 'maybe' column.
(Assuming they don't make me go to comp school again!) :p

Thank you all for your interest in SATCAR.

I realized when I booked Road America for Nov. 1 that weather might be an issue. I am hoping that Mr. Weatherman will look kindly upon us. I was up there in Mid-October last year and we had a warm sunny weekend (No jackets required). I had few choices when I booked so had to take what we could get.

I am working hard to get this concept launched and get more drivers aware of it. Please spread the word to your track junkie friends and encourage them to come to the events. Getting more cars on track will help to grow the series and make it a fun activity for all of us.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you may provide.
