11.7 gee dude that is awesome. Anti lag? 2step? Anything that is helping you get these times.
Update:
Attended CCDSM's track rental yesterday. Drove the car down , made 11 passes, drove it home, no problems. Finally got that FP Race manifold on, Gotta say, it's an awesome peice. Also put on a rebuilt throttle body from Hal Landry. No real changes to my tune.
Best time was a 11.738 @ 118.52 mph. Car pulled 5 11 second passes, and the rest were low 12s. Missed 2nd a few times from too much wheel spin, but still managed 12.3-12.4's at 115mph. 17" wheels aren't really the best for drag racing...
Car is MOVING up top for a 16g car. Still on 93 octane. I think I'm shooting for 120mph traps with the cams.... Hopefully the turbo lasts though, It's been smoking I've noticed every now and then.
That's not the only thing smoking
Insane trap speed and awesome numbers!!!! Congrats man!
With cams maybe some mid 11's with 120ish traps? On pump gas?
Get some (more) video of this thing too, please

Why do people enjoy pushing this small turbo past its limits? It cant be too efficient after 17-19psi. I wouldnt think pushing it past its efficiency range would be helpful.

Why not? If I had the time to invest, I'd love to start with a 14B and slowly work bigger, seeing what I can extract from each turbo. Why do people enjoy pushing this small turbo past its limits? It cant be too efficient after 17-19psi.
I think an 18g at the same PSI would be more efficient than an EVOIII. I havent bought temp probes and measured charge air temps or seen anybody who has with this turbo but more boost means more backpressure which means hotter engine which means head bolts stretch even with no knock. Thats just my opinion. I think the EVOIII is better suited for 20psi or less. An 18g will work better past 20psi for me. Call me overkill but I like for my parts to have 'excess capacity' so they last longer.
Here's what TPG Tuning did at the track with a 16G on pump gas around 27psi:
Understandable- but it IS indeed gas which originated from a pump that was intended for use in street cars.
n/t guys...
haha jk
Wow, even thogh the temperature is rising, your lowering your times. That's awesome.
Sidebar, what size tires do you have on those EVO wheels?
