Just got mine installed and running. Only problem was oil the supplied oil feed line wasn't 100%. Went back to the oem one from the 14b and now it's good. No adjusting of the wastegate arm running a straight pressure source to the wastegate nipple it's doing 25psi right now but it feels almost like my old scm61 powered talon at the same boost level. Damn. Running on E85 and really rich on the wideband at 10.0 afr or richer since the uego only goes to 10. This thing really packs a punch. It feels like 350hp. I bought it for $237 shipped. Will keep updates on the life span. So far so good. Will turn it up to 30psi or as high as it will hold in a week or two.

Yea I must admit I am tempted myself, although I will have to wait till after I get my MAP setup finished. Then I will post logs if nobody has by then... could be a couple months though.

Somehow I doubt anyone who has computer logging capabilities (dsmlink, etc) is going to be running an eBay e316G.:shhh:

Surprise. I am:). And i have link. Well i must say that this turbo has been good to me. I dont put many miles on my car, but when i'm driving it i beat on it hard. I'm now boosting 19psi on the stock sidemount, and the car is pushing 32lbs/min.Not bad for 19psi. Here is a log of when i was still tuning and around 16psi. I had to do some fine tuning on the mbc after this run because of my ball%spring. It acts crazy in the log you will see it, but it's fixed now. The car is running strong, and the turbo has about 3k on it with extreme abuse. I dont have any current log of 19psi, but i could get one up tommorrow. I can assure you that the car is much faster now!I would say buy one. BTW post#14 is the exact turbo i have. The install kit is worthless. I recommend getting one from extreme psi.

Hey Matt, since I apparently don't have the program to open that file and I probably couldn't interpret it very well anyway maybe you can give the "Cliff's notes" version of it and any interesting comparisons you see vs the E316G for us tuning amateurs.LOL

So far so good. I've been boosting it hard (24-25psi) for like 500 miles now. Walked on a 2.3 built stroked out 35r evo. Shaft play is non existent, up and down or in and out. Exactly the same as when I put it on. I honestly think it will last a good amount.

Forgot to mention it blew my cheapo topline headgasket. Right in the middle between cylinders 2 & 3. Replaced with a used mitsu metal hg and still going great. ARPs mind you. This wannabe is way stronger than the 14b at it's highest boost. But obviously cause I'm boosting 25psi. From 14b 18psi to ebay 16g 25psi the butt dyno says I've gained at least, least, 50whp

Tbonitz301's log info. . .

Dsmlink Estimate: 210whp @ 6260rpm and 206ft-lbs @ 4112rpms. Maximum airflow 28.3lbs/min. Stock 2g timing curve. -12% to -15% from 1000rpms to 4000rpms. -16% from 4500rpm to redline.

28lbs/min is good for stock longblock and 16psi. Tbonitz301, why is your maf compensation sliders adjusted +5%? Are you running a maft? or hacked 2g maf? This was done for the sake of calibration, right?

Here's a screenshot:

Yep. That was me just dialing in the maf. I know i said i'd post up another log, but i worked some long hours today, and im about half drunk so i'll get one up tommorrow. Sorry

to the OP..how many miles have you put on your turbo? any shaft play or any sign of ware?

i was getting 35-36lb/min out of my small 16g at 18psi.... just for comparison sake. I think it was about 30-33lb/min at 15psi, i'll have to check my logs to be sure about the 15psi

I saw 36 lbs/min with my small 16g at 20psi, fp2x cams, ebay fmic, and otherwise stock long block. It was overrunning my 1g maf though, so that number could be quite low vs. actual.

Well here's the log its not a very good one though. Its raining like crazy. I didnt do any 3rd gear pulls because of the rain. If anyone has any suggestions on how i could better my tune please pm me. I'm new to tuning.:)This was around 18-19 psi.

Well, I see a little over 35 lbs/min :). Way more than 350crank hp potential. You've pulled fuel out 15%. You need a little more timing. Even less fuel and more timing. Those are some VERY good airflow numbers for stock cams / longblock and less than 20psi!!!!!

are you tuning with a gm maf? Why are your airflow sliders moved so much?

Here is a log of me at 18psi running a 12.8. I think there is about 35.x lb/min in this tune. THey are in this thread a few posts down
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/dsm-video-links/291264-first-drag-outing-08-a.html

I am running the mods in my profile so the higher compression made me run the 2g timing map.

Like said above, i would try to get more timing since you are on stock internals, but airflow looks good! Richen it up and add timing and see what happens. My times above are just what you can do at the track with the airflow you have. I could have done more, but my tune wasnt perfect by any means!

Ok any of you guys able to run more than a solid 25psi? I've adjusted the wastegate rod to maximum tightness to try and ensure the wastegate doesn't open up at all. And to make sure it stays shut I don't have a pressure source on the wastegate nipple.

It spikes to like 28psi and falls to 25psi near redline (6k). Stock cams. I don't think welding the wastegate shut will have much of an effect to hold more boost. I'm guessing this turbo is maxed. I was hoping for a solid 30psi.

None the less great turbo for $237!

No shaft play evident as of now either. Boosting relatively hard everyday.

I guess it's time to advance the timing for more power, I have it set at 20 degrees peak. Going to try for 22-23 degrees. And lean it out to low 11s afr. Running 10.0 or richer now.

Well i tuned a little more, and voila. Here's a log for you guys. Keep in mind this turbo is unported.:thumb:I had to do this short run in second because i didnt want to make the neighbors mad:)Checkout the hp estimate around 5300rpm
