I dont have a lot of time but let me answer a few.

Of course I know pinks won't take a 7 second clase but think of all the exposure a dsm would get. And hey he is my myspace friend haha.

It will still have the dash the console and as much as the rear plastic as will fit. The stock wing in the center has been re made into sheetmetal copy and yes it does have a 12" wing extending off of the back. Somehow he still kept the 3rd brake light though ( don't know why the parachute is in the way)

Keep the questions coming but I will not post any pics untill it is done. It'll be better that way.

LOL the past few Pinks all out episodes and I do believe its been two of them I seen some 1g's but i dont think when they look at us for the field they pick. And if im not mistaken that guy from RX7.com was a professsional racer

NO updates? And the car is probably 90% complete? Is this guy not in the transmission business? For these cars? I don't see the benefit of keeping secrets from a business stand point...
Anyways..mines gone (dont come here anymore). Check out yellowbullet.com when you get it done.(where the fast cars hang). Thanks

He races too. If you can not understand keeping the secrets, then you have the wrong hobby. He is a top competitor in a very very fast class where any little edge helps. I don't know what you would want to see out of his car? His car has already done more than anything that anyone here will probably ever do.

Wow after reading this post and watching his 7.70 1/4 mile video, i realize that John may really be god. I am in awe right now.

Wow, having watched your car run many times at Norwalk, I feel this is going to be insane!
Youre car is going to be twice as badass as before, and I did not think that was possible.
Nice work Shep.

Shep is just in a whole different class. Theres no way to describe it. i can't put it into words. i can't wait to see whats instore for this year. A few years ago eights were a huge challenge and 6's were unheard of. Bring the camcorders and the digital cameras to the shootout, its going to be one for the books.

Hey guys, Sorry for the lack of updates. The car is still at the chassis shop !!! As you can imagine I am highly upset it is taking so long and it is to the point that it may get ugly if I do not have it in the next few weeks.

It will still need to go to Phil down at first impressions for a total show quality paint job inside and out which could take another 2 months. At this point I hope to at least have a nice looking rolling chassis for the shootout but do not expect it to be anywhere near running. We are switching standalones and will need to rewire the car from scratch again as well as many other changes that are being made.

Thanks again for not losing interest!! I am not sure what the future holds for racing with the fuel prices the way they are. I do plan to run locally at Norwalk as much as I can and some exhibition racing here and there.

Just send it over to me shep, Ill hook you up with an excellent paintjob!! LOL

P.S. I would be honored to paint your that beast!

Anthony

At least it's good to hear it's not from you losing interest. But rather the place your having the work done moving slower then molasses in january. :notgood:

Either way it'll be good to see something at the shootout, even if it's not running. :talon:

Quick update for those that remember I still have a race car:thumb:

The car is offically at the body shop and the last I seen it was upside down and headed for the sand blasters to get it prepped and ready for zinc coating. I should have something to at least roll out of the trailer at the shootout. I have lost hope of actually being able to have it running by then but it should look like a car again which will give me the much needed motivation to torture myself again :D

I want to thank Phil for basically dropping everything to work on it non stop for a few weeks. For those of you that do not know him he is a good friend of mine and has the tube car that David had built. He runs a body shop in Columbus.

Not running for the shootout?

Ohh man, and I thought you were cool. :tisk:

I hope you get to race this year man. You bring us all so much to shoot for. I'm in chassis fab class right now at Wyotech, and I can't ### to get to the field and build some damm cars already!!! Any way good luck!!!
