Why didn't you run the exhaust under the rear crossmember? Just seems like an un-needed bend, but maybe it didn't give you enough ground clearance..?

Ground clearance is a issues....when i had my 3" turbo cat back it just seemed like it was too low to the ground and after years of driving it was pretty beat up and bent right in that spot...so i decided to go over the rear cross member " BUT " the main reason why i went over the rear cross member is because, There is going to be some "tin" work done under the car to clean up the aerodynamics and air flow underneath the car:shhh::thumb:

hey zero.. i've been reading about this build and WOW! looks awesome man. lets us know when you get that thing on the dyno. i also was curious of why you painted the inside of the car and then covered it with the carpent and interior panels. but props on this looks sick.

Thanks man...Trust me every one will know as soon as i get my numbers! The reason why the interior was painted mainly is because the roll cage needed to be painted black, and the stock red color had to go.

Any plans to invest in the crazy expensive CF doors that are available. I don't think I've yet seen anyone using them.

YEs i have been thinking about it. I have to find out if they are legal in my class because your limited on what parts can be replaced with either fiberglass of carbon fiber.

my other problem would be weather or not to paint them.
also
I dont like the "rain gutter" that goes across the bottom of the door i had mine filled in and on the Carbon fiber doors it is still there...

If you are going that routye I suggest these guys on ebay. I just got my hood in the mail packaging was great so nothing had even a scratch and the finish and feel is unbelieveable:thumb: They sell sets of carbon fiber doors for like 1100 shipped I think. I'm just waiting to get my money right and then i'm ordering doors and a hatch and fenders too from the same company.

Edit: Yeah it might help if I told you who they were LOL keycompositesgroup thats the seller id.

How much money has the shop ripped you for so far?

how much cash do you think you have into the beast, zero

Lets just say i have put alot into the car, But when you do a build like this it dose not matter what type of car you have in the end it is still gonna cost the same. If not more.
" Gotta Pay to Play "
Im going to break records this year Hands Down!!

I don't doubt that you will do big things but I have to ask the most important question whose tuning this thing. Everyone knows parts don't make power a good tune does;)

^^^^^Good Question^^^^^ this tune is gonna be a chore to dial in perfect but they made it this far so im sure that tuning wont be a big obstacle for them to overcome. All i can say is this thing is one bad dsm and you better hang on screaming down the track with this beast. +1 for having the balls to go to these lengths and for putting up with everyone's negativity and bs. Just think if your were cruising around your town and you come to an intersection and you see that thing across from you... Keep up the good work;)

Some more pics i took on the weekend you can see the oil drain here in this pic.
These's pics let you see more of what is going on in the engine bay

Are you running any accesories? Just curious cause I don't see a hamonic balancer or a alternator or bracket or anything like that.

The harmonic balancer is being worked on right now. so the crank trigger lines up with the pick up correctley.
Im not running any accesories. No power stearing or ac. But there will be an alternator.

Zero--What is the hole in the middle of the bumper for? I might have missed it, but it looks like there is piping behind it.

If you look close in the pics in the beginning the pipe is his cage. He did some kinda elabrotae setup off his back strut bar/cage bar that goes straight back to the rear of the car and to the corners.

See post #36

Aren't you worried about not running a timing belt cover..? What if something gets in and tears your belt up.

BLAH! Timing belt covers are for sissys:notgood: LOL j/k

People said the same thing when I was building my motor but to be honest if you take out the ac and power steering and those lines over there nothing is really in the way of it at all and underneath is a guard so the whole something jumping up into it is kinda superstition.

Yeah i have heard Brent's name from my buddy with a 95 teg hes been out to PFI but try to see if someone can film them tuning it when its dynoed if your not going to be around. (Only if your tuning it on a dyno, i hope its not getting a street tune even though that would be insaneLOL. Would have to be one hell of a long straight road.) Looking better and better by the way.
