Well it is a claimed drift car...
But I wonder with all that fabrication, why not switch the engine from longitudinal, to latitudinal (I believe those are the correct terms?) to eliminate the t-case, and eliminate a non essential moving part. Thus less resistance and more power to the wheels.

Yeah! its one sick ride, but wondering why they are selling it...

They are probably selling it as is cause they ####ing broke it.

Thats what I was thinking....

Although I must say, I have always wanted a RWD 1ga. I must also say a good flat black paint job is not cheap or easy. And although it's low light and just pic's, it doesn't look like too bad of a job.

Either way I wouldn't bather looking at it unless it was a local car and I could go drive it.

Those guys are in my neighborhood, I wonder if I could take it out for a spin...mmm?

You mean transverse (The stock setup, engine mounted side to side) converted to longitudinal (front to back, V8 style).

If you click on the "get vehicle history report" next to the VIN it says GSX. I found that some early model eclipses just say GS, and turbo/intercooler etc below that.

I've always thought RWD just "fit" a 1ga. I'd like to do it, but if I did, I would make the engine longitudinal and throw out the original tranny, tcase, and diff. I would no longer fear timing belt jobs :) Sometimes I get sick of traction... :p The grass is always greener.

Yes awd is amazing, but rwd is a lot of fun to play around with. Too bad most people here have such a stigma about it, but I suppose they are entitled to their own opinions.
