Well i got a transmission from someone, and after i put it in this is what i am hearing, along with lots of shaking and shuttering, the transmission does not grind into gears or slip out of gear.

Also makes a horrific sheer metal noise when cranking over.

Wow, it almost sounds like there is no oil in it or something. I would call the person you got it from. Did it have a warranty of some kind?

Nope, i just bought it used off some guy that has had pretty good reputation and good feedback on here, he says it was the best dsm tranny he has ever seen, and after i got it i was complaining cause there was a few cracks in the bellhousing that he never told me about either., and there is plenty of oil in it.

At this point i havent done anything yet, I brought it down to my parents house where all my tools and everything are, so i can start ripping the tranny back out and looking for problems, I will be sure to check those issues first, Also where have you been pirate? I have been looking for dsmers for 2 years down here. You are like a 20min drive from me.

Well I ripped the transmission out and guess what, I started to take the clutch bolts out and check this out the splinewheel and my flywheel was turning, and it cause almost all my bolts to rip out and start shearing and take a poop on me, this was the exact problem, if i kept driving this it would have been a complete loss of 400$ it came down right to the point where another 1-2 miles it would have been shot,, im going to the store now to get a thing of locktight and may check into someone to resurface it. Thank you all for you're contributions.

i may, the pressure plate bolts are ok, the flywheel bolts im not sure of yet, i might reuse them, they seem to be alright, but i already sent the flywheel out to fidanza for the tech to look at it and put a new ring on it., by the way nissan in port charlotte is having a dyno day in may, intrested?

All I gotta say from reading your posts is I can barely comprehend what you're saying from how you write.

Then why even post if you have nothing to say guy.. the other 2 members that responded had no problem understanding me. And I have never had anyone else since 2001 not understand what I am trying to say. Why is it that you cannot? I think the problem may be on the other side of the line buddy. :thumb:

And if you want to be wise about comprehension and grammar, take a look at you're sentence.

"Gotta"

"reading your posts is"

Well I am not totally sure what exactly caused any of it. I know that my ring gear depressed itself along with all 6 bolts on my crank were almost all the threaded out. And the noise that I was hearing was my ringgear smacking around, and the other metal grinding noise I started to hear was the top of my bolts hitting against almost anything that was close to it, LOL.
