--------------------------------------------"SEATTLE TO YAK 'N BACK" DSM MEET - AUGUST 16TH @ 2:00PM-----------------------------------------------

So... I've been to 3 or 4 Seattle area DSM meets over the last 7 or 8 months and ALL of them have been fantastic and have gotten progressively better with the turnout. Now that I've paid my dues, I think it's only fair that I set up a DSM meet here on the east side of the mountains for all of you Westsiders to enjoy the sunny weather. Here's what I'm planning:

I'm working with Lccynmbr13 to organize a mini pre-meet in Issaquah for everyone to briefly get together and then make the trip over to Yakima. Imagine 30 to 40+ DSM's mobbing on I-90 over to Yakima. It should be a blast!! Look for more info regarding this meeting spot and what time to be there, to be posted by lccynmbr13 soon (plan on arriving in Yakima around 2:00PM).

Once in Yakima, there is a huge parking lot where half of it is pretty much abandoned now. No need to worry about getting kicked out of there, mainly because parking isn't an issue in Yakima and security/cops don't care (unless it's night time). This will make a GREAT spot for us to meet up, jock at everyone's cars and so on. After everyone has had a chance to meet everyone and check out there rides we can go grab a bite to eat at the Red Robin that actually shares the same parking lot where we'll already be at. I'll arrange reservations so that the resteraunt will be prepared.

Here's the directions to the Nob HIll plaza parking lot:

FROM I-90
Take exit 110 to merge onto I-82 E/US-97 S toward Yakima
Take exit 34 for Nob Hill Blvd/WA-24 E toward Moxee
Turn RIGHT on to E Nob Hill Blvd
Continue on E Nob Hill Blvd, Nob Hill Plaza parking lot will be on the left.

FROM THE TRI-CITIES (I-82 EAST)
Take exit 34 for Nob Hill Blvd/WA-24 E toward Moxee
Turn LEFT on to E Nob Hill Blvd
Continue on E Nob Hill Blvd, Nob Hill Plaza parking lot will be on the left.

* * * * Any questions please feel free to PM either lccynmbr13 or myself. Those that already have my cell number, give me a call. I can't wait to see everyone here on the Eastside of the mountains and show you Westsiders the local Yakima area DSM's (there's quite a few)!! * * * *

Okay, I've set the pre-cruise to Yakima meeting point at the Home Depot/Krispie Kreme parking lot in Issaquah. For the 4 other people that went to last years HIN meet, it's in the exact same spot.

Below is a map with a red arrow showing exactly where to meet at. The green circle is the Krispie Kreme. I chose this spot as a meeting place for a couple of reasons: 1) We've met there before and not had a problem with security (if there is any there); 2) There's lots of space for everyone; and 3) It's fairly centralized and en route to Yakima from Seattle.

Plan on arriving at the Home Depot/Krispie Kreme parking lot at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 16th (the earlier the better) and departing for Yakima by 11:30AM. This will put everyone in Yakima right around the 2:00PM meet time in Yakima.

Depending on my financial well being at the time... oh shit Jack's going to be hitting 650awhp well before this time... When I pop my hood you'll actually see the dollar signs rather than just assuming I'm not bsing about all my internals ;)

Guys give me a week or two to organize the West Side part of the deal. I'm not set on Issaquah yet that might change I want to scout out a really good spot where we can enjoy the weather.

Depending on my financial well being at the time... yeah fuel isnt getting any cheaper! i gotta see how my cars running because im running at the battle the next weekend after this !!!

Jack...

Any word on a better place to meet on the West side, then Issaquah? If not, I know that a good place that a few of us have met before was at the Krispie Kreme/Home Depot parking lot in Issaquah. It's a good sized parking lot that is right on the way to Yakima.

On another note, I'm planning on joining you guys on the west side and making the trip over to Yakima with you (there's no way I wanna miss out on the cruise of all cruise's).

these is a big ass park in Issaquah that the GERMAN GTG is at every spring.

:cool:Got a quick question for serious jack and 95CarbonEclipse, i just realized that you have this set up for a sunday, i for some reason thought it was a saturday meet,,,,i think jack said something about staying the night somewhere i don't remember , anyways i hate having to hurry back home after a good meet, probably because i tend to stay late,. so i was thinking what do you guys think about a two day deal 16th and 17th that way we can roll over sat hang out and what not and stay the night over in yakama. i know allot of guys won't wanna stay the night or what not but im sure some of us might like me. just an idea im down to do two days. maybe split it up some of us come over sat and some come over sunday , and we all roll back sunday ? One last question was the 17th a date that might beable to change? that falls on my daughters biirthday and i was wonder sense its still early enuf if the weekend before or after could be set ? If not thats cool i know there will be more meets thanks, let me know guys.....later:thumb:
