2WD Land and Sea Dynamometer! Sorry AWD folks! That doesn't mean you cant come and eat hot dogs, look at the cars, and check out the VRI!

Western Washington University's Formula SAE team will be doing a Dyno Event Saturday/Sunday on May 10th-11th. We're planning on strapping down the first car at 8am and closing the shop at 8pm both days. Free hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided. 3 dyno pulls w/ print out for 40 dollars. All proceeds will go to funding our Formula SAE car! Our car needs a new set of race tires for competition, data acquisition sensors, oil, filters, etc. and we need money to go racing!

Who: Western Washington University's FSAE team
What: Dyno Day! (weekend actually :p )
Where: Western Washington University's Vehicle Research Institute (VRI)
When: Sat/Sun May 10th 8am-6pm both days
Why: To raise funds for Viking 43! We need more sensors for our data acquisition system and new tires for the FSAE West competition (June 25th)
How much does it cost? 40 dollars for 3 pulls w/ dyno graph
What kind of dyno? Land and Sea 2wd
How do I sign up? Post in this thread what day and time you'd like to dyno. We're planning on scheduling 2 car an hour! (e.g. Sat @ 10am, Sun @ 2pm, etc.)
Horsepower LIMIT: 800whp

is a college that bough that dyno like 10 years ago... they also dont ahve a need for an awd dyno since they only build 2wd cars LOL. but ya i am down to come hang otu and probably do some pulls just to get a base line.

just let me know which day looks like th busy one and ill join the group.

the formula team only builds 2wd but the hybrid team has a coupe awd cars. Im kinda bummed too as i have an awd dsm but hey what ya gonna do? as for which day is busy, ide guess sat. hope to see you guys out there and if youre interested we can give you guys tours of the shop.

I'm in. I want a baseline for my S2K. I'll post back which day.

from what i understand there is no A/F, it can be a hassle to set up each car and there will be alot of people.
there is no official sign up. its first come first serve, you get there and then there will be a signup sheet. signups online are always a waste of time as many people will sign up and never show messing things up.

get the message around tho, we want as many people to show up as possible even if only to watch. We are all obviously big car guys and want to get to know more car guys in the area and get our name out.

Look forward to seeing you and ill try to answer any additional Q's i can.

well i am down. maybe all us DSM guys thinking about going should plan a day and time to go se that we roll up in force.

that sucks there no A/F . a friend of mine from seattle wanted to come up if there was.. he drives a 89 mx6 gt turbo. he was interested in getting some air fuel reading

you should see if you can convince them to do the a/f for people who need it for tuning.

I have built 5 of these cars at SVSU

It is a very good program if done right.

Good luck just make sure you make it through endurance.

i emailed the contact email about signing up and i have yet to get a response.

okay, so there is now a preliminary sign up sheet as posted above in the original post. let me know by IMing me which time you will be here. I was told there would be no signup but apparently they changed their minds. so let me know and I will update the list accordingly. sorry for the hassles and again I look forward to seeing you guys out there!

its kinda hard to sign up if no one responds to the emails that i send.....
