I just got done blacking out my tails the middle sect. the reverse lights, side markers, the front mitsu emblem. looks mad nice on a white 97 gsx.

...about gettign the black lettering off of the talon center section...i just took fingernail polish remover and a rag to it...but there is a risk of having a 'haze' left when ## done, so take it easy...
 
My old GSX was the red one, the silver car was just some long ago inspiration. I believe he applied his brakes for that photo.
 
With stuff called VHT Nightshade and clearcoat.. This link below says you can find the nightshade stuff at a local parts store but I wasnt able to here, and then decided not to do it. Check your local laws though, some states its illegal. Here is the how-to.

here are a few pictures of my taillights, i have two diff combinations that i run depending on when i get bored!

combo 1 (pictures of) - middle piece was vht niteshaded and automotive clear coated, left and right taillights were vht niteshaded, paint matched on the corners and automotive clear coated...
combo 2 - i use a color matched center piece.

You pulled that off really well man! :thumb: I think only that color DSM maybe able to.

thanks for the compliment. it was definately a pain taping off all of those letters LOL...i'm actually torn on whether or not to put the painted center back in...it matches so well with the rest of the car because i have alot of other paint matched pieces, but it does disrupt the blacked out flow across the back...maybe i'll have to post a picture of what it looks like.

Shaved the key hole and the lines/indents in the center and tail lights. Then blacked them out with a gloss black paint on the bottom half and a heavy coat of night shade on the top half.
