Ok i searched first and didn't find anything relating to the problem I have. So here it goes I replaced my alternator tonight and when i was taking off the old one the right side of the mount in between the two ears of the alt. broke offWTF (right side if your standing in front of the car) its a 2l if that helps. What i am looking for is if this happened to other people too, and if so what did you do? I just put it all back together minus the broken piece which is right in front of me:notgood: i think it will work but not sure i only took one rideit seemed fine but want peoples opinion on this please.

anyone ever relocated there alt to the back if so let me know what i need and how to do it

What a the benefits to the relocation of the alt. to the rear?

Its done to make room for big turbo and wastegate setups, you will have to ditch the AC compressor as well.

Update

I figured out how to solve the problem. It was actually pretty simple
Step one clean both surfaces of the broken mount with carb cleaner.
Step two on the alt itself if your holding it how it should be put on the car, the left side ear has a metal bushing or some thing like of that nature tap it out until it is flush with the inside of the ear.
Step three apply j b weld or what ever you chose to use to the rough broken surface hold in the right position until it sets long enough to hold itself. Wait at least half the recommended curing time.
*note make sure that you run the long bolt through the hole several times cleaning the j b weld or what ever you chose off each time or it will suck later trust me i figured this out the hard way
Step four once the curing time has passed simply re install the alt and your done
