OK well here whats happe ning im having my car painted soon( black jsut blakc dont ask my what paint number i dont know) and i wanted to redo my maroon interior to match or atleast not be maroon any tips on how to do some things my self, adn other i should just buy or have done, ooo and so everyone knows i have 2 12 subs in and my back seats out in the back and all done in balck carpeting and have a bench/ locker type deal in place of the seats also carpents black so basically, only from the base of my carpenting frawrd need ot be redone, and special attention to my door panels any help would be awesome

sand the door panels a little bit and paint them... thats what i would do. if was having my interior completely redone like that and my car was black i would go for RED seats. i think if done right, it can be exotic and classy looking.

Painted interior generally looks like shit imo.... Best off swapping it with a junkers interior. And selling off any of yours you can to someone who needs any maroon pieces.

OK check it out well one of my door panels is shot so i ###### replace and paint or carbon fiber i know some people who can help me out, umm what should i do but carpeting this is some seriously ugly maroon. thanks guys for the help so far

What?

I don't know where you live but the junkers around here often have a bunch of 1g's, and you could swap the entire interior for less then $100 I bet.. Door panels, seats, carpet, headliner and sun visors. It would only take a few hours.

I would love to help, but I only got half way through your post before I gave up. That is truely terrible english right there...

Anyways, I don't know what you want, but as far as painting you want a Vinyl dye, not just any paint. Make sure you prep it well with a cleaner that you can buy at most automotive paint places.

As far as carpet just buy a replacement carpet from an online vendor, pull one from a wrecked car and clean it, or clean it yourself and use a fabric paint and do it yourself. Either way really doesn't matter, and each way there is nothing to it.

First sorry guys I know my english is horrible I'm trying to get better at grammar but it isnt coming along well. Secondly Im in the U.P. of michigan and i have only seen 3 other 1Gs over entire U.P. but thanks for the help, and im having it professionally painted so, yea i just want to freshen up the interior, and get rid of the ugly marron color.

First. Thank you for taking my criticism constructivly. Most people just blow up for no reason over it.

Secondly, you do have options, it really just depends on how in depth you want to take this.

There are aftermarket carpet companies on the net that can sell you different coloured factory fit carpets. And your plastic pannels can be painted with Vinyl dye. This way the paint actually soaks into the pannel, versus just resting on top where it can and will scratch and flake off eventually. just like any painting, you just need to make sure you prep everything properly before spraying.

You can even "paint" your carpets too, I know there was someone on this forum who did a pretty nice walkthrough when he did it, but I can't find the article (no time, im at work).

Just look around, I am sure you will find a few posts if you search regarding the vinyl dye, and a pretty easy walkthrough.

there we go thats what ive been looking for i dont have much time to look things up nor respond , i am 17 still in highschool but i wanna take me time and do this car right, so thanks so much for all the help so far and props to eerr umm i hate long screen names, but whoever made the how to tech on redoing carpets desveres big props, and thank gin ok so carpet and headliner i can redo but most likely my door panels will need to be replaced, my umm like where the door handle and swicths are are shoot they are practicly falling out now. so yeap redo those and ill be set.

ill proly redoe some of the rear work and put some pics up of that which i think most people might like, and like to try and do themselves
