Cant wait until they show up in the mail.

BTW Im not going to use the pod i will put em ( boost and oil psi) in the din below the radio.

Good luck with those guages. I tried an ebay brand type, and they just didnt work out for me. I dont think autometer guages are really all that much more expensive. I would also trust a used autometer guage, before one of those.

Good luck though, let us know how they work.

As of right now the budget is getting low until i start dump trucking agian.

If they dont work its not a ton of money that im out of. Im not a big fan of all the lights in the interior of the car. I also dont like the Pods here where i live that screams pull me over. Also the turn black when shut off. I get my new hks uicp and this in the mail this week!!!!

hopefully its warm ( anything better than 30 and flurries) and dry so i can hit some of the roads.

I dont trust my stock boost gauge and The oil pressure gauge works when it wants to so i figure that its worth a shot.

+ I had problems with an autometer gauge once and kinda hard for me to buy em.

Im also gettin new tires this week. They are perelli and i cant remember the model but pretty agressive tread for 72 bucks!!!

My boss owns a tire shop so we agreed that i would get em at cost and he will take one tire out of my check a week for 4 weeks!!

Sounds like you have a cool boss.

Its a good thing you dont trust your stock boost guage, because it really does nothing. An aftermarket oil pressure guage is never a bad thing, but getting the right fittings on the oil sending unit is rather important I would say. Good luck with it though.

Glowshift gauges work fine. I have the boost gauge and oil pressure.

those are the two that I bought.

pretty easy to hook up?

I sea foamed the car last week and seems to be running cooler.

So I might buy a water temp one also.

When I drive down the highway the temp gauge sits right below the first mark. it use to sit right in the middle. I wouldnt think the thermostat is stuck open since it does built temp. But at the end of the summer its getting a new timing belt with a fresh water pump so I will get a new thermostat and upper and lower hoses and clean out the the rad.

Those are some very good ideas for the summer. I am considering the same myself.

Sea Foam is great I should of done it during mosquito season we wouldnt have them for months LOL

go to the local parts store. Its an oil base additive that you can put in oil or fuel or remove a vacume line and let it drain the bottle. It cleaned my engine out. it 8 bucks i think but it will make you smoke but after about 5 miles it will stop. cleaned the interior of the engine it feels pretty smooth and smoothed out my idle.

Sea Foam check it out

seafoam works thread on dsmtuners

Wow, that stuff looks pretty cool. I cant believe I have never seen that before. Thats pretty funny.

Yeah they are easy to hook up. Yours may be a little different though since you got the tinted ones.

Ive had two autometer boost gauges in my life and I dont think I will buy from them again. The first one just became inaccurate and would read +3psi when there was no vaccum at all. They replaced it and the second one now is reading -3psi. They replaced the first one with the broken second one. They have great warranty but whats the point if every 6000 miles it breaks. I know people with gloshift gauges and they work great.

thanks guys you make me feel better about buying them.

I also have glowshift guages. Boost/vacumm, water temp and oil pressure. Works just fine for me and pretty easy to hook up.

Yeah PIMking I think you made a good decision. My Autometer boost guage is constantly off by +2 psi (only installed it about 8 months ago). I don't think I would buy another Autometer guage either. Let us know what you think of those guages though because I'm gonna replace mine soon.

That's funny. Autometer is used all over. When I say all over I mean ALL OVER. :thumb:

Did you buy it new? Where did you tap the line into?
