If you have 0 compression in one cylinder that would be the problem. I don't understand why that wouldn't be obvious to you or anybody who read your post on the other forum.

I am having a difficult time completely following the post; the grammar throws me off.

Fix the dead cylinder first, as mentioned, then move on to other issues.

It ran fine with one cylinder down. Its not like a 4 cyl. keep that in mind. I know the grammer's off, sorry bout that. I didn't wanna link to just the thread though.
Don't concentrate on the bad cylinder. I ran great without 1 cylinder. A little lumpy at low idle but still pretty decent considering.
Something else happen. It boosted fine and then it just went shitty.

Well if you dont want to fix the downed cylinder, it is going to cause more problems with the engine. Second do the boost leak check if you havent already, I am not sure how to set that up on the VR4 though. Also hook up a code reader just to be safe. Your CEL/MIL light doesnt have to be on for there to be a code. Also get a new cable so you can hook up your logger. As you already know that will help alot in diagnosing the issues.

Anyway, no power, boost gauge shows up to 14 psi on the stock gauge, drives like shit.

I just got back from taco bell, i'm almost 87 percent sure its just one cylinder down, when i bought it a few weeks ago, it did show 0... bent valves.
Compression was 120-130 on the front bank, minus the middle cylinder, which was dead.
I'm not pushing any more boost than stock so a boost gauge is out unless its necessary.

Lets see you have one dead cylinder and two others that are just about the service limit of 115 psi for the turbo engine and that's just the front bank.

Without a real gauge it's hard to say how mush boost you really running but you may be pushing 14 psi boost on an engine that should see 8.7 psi.

Your flogging a dieing horse.

Wow... I just dont think you guys understand that it didn't just start dieing one day and its gotten to this point. It was abrupt. Like it hit a wall.
A dead cylinder doesn't cause the car to just stop running decent one day.
On the 3si boards they think its my ecu stilll. I'll try that.

..........You have a dead cylinder and your shocked theres more problems with it now?

Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Wow... I just dont think you guys understand
No you don't understand.
You don't drive a car with a 0 compression in one or more cylinders.

You park it and fix it before the bent valves become dropped valves and trash the whole engine or you break something else just like you described when you say "It boosted fine and then it just went shitty."

You flogged it until it died.

BTW, stock gauge always will say 14 psi at WOT, i had to smack my cousin in the face last time he tried to put a MBC on and was reading off the stock gauge, you guys boost 9 psi stock i believe.

155 in each. Spark, havn't had time to double check.... I'll check after the move...

you said 120-130 in your first post now your saying 155?

new motor, without a question of a doubt, it CAN run on 5 cylinders, but it not good. Im guessing you didn't even test the rear bank. My guess is your losing more and more cylinders and bitching about it, even though you bought a turbo car with 0 psi in one cylinder, AND your boosting the car. wow. just, wow.

Where in my thread did I say to feel free to act like a jackass? You think if didn't I had the cash to fix this shit I wouldn't? Since you CAN drive a car on 5 cylinders. Why dont you diagnose the problem at hand because the car still doesn't drive right, AFTER fixing the heads. Or, not comment at all....:thumb:

Why do you continue to act like one everytime somebody points out what should be obvious to you. People can't do much else with what you've posted and have started questioning what little data you have provided because you won't back it up.

You've made it clear that we would be wasting our time trying to help you.

Ok, i'd hardly call this a "little" amount of info.

Lock it up.
