i am starting my second dsm project. the first was a 1st gen awd. it had a few small things done to it before i got it. it needed a little work and my friend talked me into building it. well we did and it was fun and then it went to hell and things started going wrong. well this is the second. i am starting with a 1st gen 1.8 and am going with a swap. basic swap, all that has to be done is harness, engine, tranny, ecu, a few other things and it shouldnt take that long, i am driving the car now and that is the bad part. i am going to build the motor before i put it in and keep driving the car till the day i get everything ready. it shouldnt take but about a year to do so i will be here a lot through the process and asking questions. if anyone has any input or advice just let me know.

so i guess nobody has any input on this?

Save your money. Keep your 1.8 for an economical DD and buy a cheap 1g turbo car. It helps to have a DD. I've spent more time looking at my car in the driveway than driving it over the last 6 months.

i have the option of getting a 1st gen turbo car but it is in a lot of pieces and i dont know if it is all there. it will be about 500 bucks but i dont know if it is worth it.
