Just wanted to update

Been running my ported x02 manifold for atleast a week so far

Hanging a PTE SCM5031e off of it (50 trim)

Been boosting around 20 psi, and have done multiple pulls for tuning

Manifold has turned a blueish/light purple color overall. Absolutely NO brown spots, I believe that wiping the manifold down thorougly before heating it, and not touching it when hot or anything has kept it this way. Not to mention, the different grade of a stainless most likely helped.

how is it workin out for you. all is well I hope LOL. Does it give the exhaust a different tone??

Get some pics of the color if you could!

I would like to see pics of it aswell i had the xo2 and had the same problem like stated before whit one of the runners hitting the head before the monifold was flat whit the runner on the head but like sayd before xo2 acted like bitc... i would not give me another one..

It's holding up fine. Car sounds really smooth and clean, not burbly like my talon that had a cast mani. Sounds pretty much like an evo with an exhaust.

Manifold has zero cracks, runners don't hit the heads, it doesn't throw off a rediculous amount of heat compared to the stock setup with heatshields. Mind you, I have the runners and collecter ported out to match the head and the 7cm turbo housing for the 50 trim, and *knock on wood* no signs of cracking whatsoever.

Here's a pic of when I first started it, and just after cruising/no pulls.

Will take a new pic when the rain stops for a second haha

You should really look into the punishment racing manifold

Its pretty much a ebay one re welded, and added strength

Mine doesn't get that hot

I can run on the highway for a while, get off and make a few pulls, then pull over and check my oil

LOL

I chewed up two carbide bits from napa today trying to do some port work on my manifold and gave up.... but here is a few pics of what my spring break is going to involve!! the emanage ultimate is still in the mail, and the intercooler and piping is in the cold ass garage so no pics of that LOL.

I forgot to ask earlier if you are going to put any sort of heat protection on the rad hose or not??

so these manifolds fit 16gs? because on the auctions it says t25/t28 flange..im confused.

thanks...and yes they look nice! i too dont feel like paying an arm and a leg for a piece that goes on a 17yr old car....imo.

Same flange man.

T25 and a 16g have the same flange... that is why you can bolt a 16G using your stock 2G mani... that is why people use a 2G mani on there 1Gs...
This is known as 'DSM Flanged'

No upper radiator hose protection, doesn't get much hotter than it did before

I don't know why kind of bits you got, but I used carbide dremel bits and they didn't wear out one bit and my manifold is fully ported.

What is the point of the translator? Are you planning on outflowing your 2G MAS with that 16g?

Helping in spool up, and getting rid of the restrictive 2g mas. Every little bit helps. Oh and yes ppl on this forum have out flowed the factory mas with a 16g, but my turbo is not a 16 its FP18g with the td06sl2 wheel.

This is way off topic, but I cant not respond.
Dude, yha right. A 2G mas can read 50lbs/min on the low side before dropping counts.
How do I know? Lets see, I made 500awhp on a 2G MAS and found out exactly where it starts droping counts. I then moved to a EVO MAS and made a bunch more power with more boost.
Yes a GM MAS in Blow Through will help spool, but how much more spool do you need on a 16G, LOL. Even a 20G is like instant boost.
My point is I always see people do this mod and I don't know why, it is around 200-250 they could have spent elsewhere. I don't see how it helps to get to your goal if you have a turbo smaller than a GT35.
Oh yha, No, No one on this forum or any other has outflowed a 2G Mas on a 16G or a 18G.
That is one expensive BOV VENT, hell I would have rather taken that money together with the AFC money and the logger money and I would buy DSMLink. Then I would use the no lift to shift feature and I would not get the rich conditions between shifts if I don't lift to shift.

your right, that was way off topic. This is suppose to pertain to the manifold that several of us have purchased on here.

Congratulations you made a shiitt ton of power on a 2g mas...and wohoo your still in the 12's. What im looking for is spool that is no later than 3500-3600, and that is not gona happen on this 18g unless I port everything I can, and remove every restriction I can. I.E. the 2g mas with its ingenious design...sarcasim... So if you adore that mas then run it, but dont come in here off topic and flame me because I want to make the most out of what I bought. And as far as "where you would have spent the money", I believe I metioned in this thread that I am running the Emanage Ultimate, so no need for dsmlink...go change your tampon:notgood:

Back to the manifold, I picked up some new bits today and instead of using the dremel, I used my die grinder and it worked out much better this time. Port matched to the 7cm gasket that came with my FP turbo. Man it was cold workin in the garage today.

The E manage is another crap ass peice you wated money on, but that is my opion. I was not trying to flame you, I was trying to understand why people upgrade to a GM mas when it is not needed. From what I understand, the only reason is to help spool. Dont try to be a cocky little prick, I was just asking and trying to understand. I still disagree with it, but that is the grreat thing, we can disagree without being nasty.
I wonder how you plan on overrunning it with that 18G, I guess you did not rebutt that.
BTW, I am not in the 12's :).
I am sorry to get off topic, we can end it here. Good luck with your build.

hay kawboy all still good with the mani ??
