It feels sketchy. I wanted to get a look at the exhaust wheel but they didn't show a picture of it. For $130 though you can't really go wrong with it. Give it a try and post back to us.

Thats why posted to see how long it lasts... Its only 130

Well its abviously a knock off kind of turbo, but hey for $130, shit i would take it. Just get it and try it, or inspect it before putting it in the car.

Couple guys here in town run them, lasted over a year so far. One of them is on a honda running low 12's.

It just looks so damn cheap, wow. Waste of $150 IMO.

Ask for both compressor wheel diameters and both turbine wheel diameters and post back before you buy. . .
These eBay sellers have no idea what they're selling. I asked a technical question once about an intercooler kit that a customer of mine wanted for his Evo, and I never got a response. These sellers are just listing this stuff on eBay for a larger company (sometimes direct from China) that doesn't have time to pay someone to list their parts or answer tech questions. The eBay sellers make a slight percentage of sales, and never have to see/touch/store the products.

To further prove this, I bought one of those 2G eBay knockoff Injen intakes once. I paid some lady in Las Vegas and the return address on my part was some warehouse in Charleston, SC.

As far as my personal experience with this turbo, I attempted to rebuild one of these for a Honda owner once. It was the 50-trim "B" cover version just like the one in the link above.

The turbo hadn't been abused....it was on a Honda application where it saw 8-10psi and had plenty of oil. It came to my shop with tons of up/down play, which normally occurs in turbos that are terribly out of balance or deprived of oil.

The internals were completely junked....the turbine shaft had grooved so badly that it couldn't be used. I broke 4 out of 6 bolts that hold the CHRA to the exhaust housing because these chinese turbos use the cheapest hardware they can find.

At this point, I realized that the unit wasn't worth rebuilding as the owner would have more in parts and labor than the turbo was worth. I told the guy to find another turbo.

It should also be noted that the compressor wheel is made of cheap-ass pot metal cast aluminum....if the fins are bent even the slightest bit, they break right off. A true Garrett compressor can be carefully straightened without breaking if it's slightly bent.

The turbo LS integra we built has been running that turbo strong for over a year now with no problems. I say go for it.

Even if it lasts 6-12 months it would be worth it for me.

Coltboostin is running twins on his 2.4 RX7. I can't remember what kind of power he laid down on the dyno, but it was definitely impressive for cheap/free turbos.

He's probably over 700whp now since he talked about putting his built head and cams on it.

I had an ebay almost identical to that. All tho it didnt last more them 6 months. Its been the best turbo ive owned.. I worked perfect at 17 but i turned it up to around 24 and it didnt like that very much. I liked it better then my 35r ;)

The only thing about this turbo is that you will need an external gate and a new o2 housing, as well as a new manifold. Once the price of all thats needed is combined its a little more expensive. But if all that is in place then go for it. And tell us how it went.

Wow so your telling me a 150 dollar cheap 50trim that blew up at 24psi was better than a 35r that you ranWTF. That sounds a little bit insane, or your car is not nearly close to set up for a 35r cause that does not make sense. If I buy a turbo I am gonna want it to boost 24psi with out being scared its going to shred. Not worth the pain and hassle in getting a t3 manifold and custom 02 housing.

I bought a t3t4 flange from him and it came fast but then again he's 50 miles from me so if anything went wrong I'd come see him real fast. The only thing with ebay turbo's is sometimes it's hard to find an o2 for them but you can always get one made.

wow....If u can get 6 -12 months out of it i say its worth it

YOu should try it and tell us all how it goes, than that way no one can complain how crappy they are.

I got a chance to see one of these turbos up close. A friend of mine was going to put one on his crx. This thing is no bigger than my 14b LOL. Dont buy it, total rip off.

wrong!! i have this turbo and a 14b at my home, the compressor and exhaust wheel are bigger than a 14b.

Ok, One of my friends had not only the turbo, but the whole kit. He put it on all in one day just to make sure everything was good. Next day was the day to turn it on. We turn it on and and it sounded it great. Than he moved it into his shop, because he had to park outside his house which is about 1 block. By the time he got to the shop he said it was not spooling. We all gather up and were bumbed. Took out off the intake pipe and saw the turbo. Shaft play like no other. I mean literally you could bang the walls of inducer housing with the blades.

Moral of the story is, There is a HUGE reason why the go for so cheap. There is no R&D behind what they are putting out there.

Save your hard earned money and buy a Garrett.

If you do decide you purchase the turbo, it would make a great looking paper weight. LOL

Well, you said you were thinking about "trying it" I say get all the parts to put a 50trim or any other Garrett turbo on it. And only get an ebay special if you don't have enough for the real Garrett when you're done buying a manifold, building/buying stuff for a DP and all the IC piping you're gonna have to change and the oil lines needed, Then that way you could just run it for a while (being conservative on boost) while you save for a real Garrett, and just maybe when you get your new turbo you can get 150 bucks for the core on the fleabay model. Some places might spot that it's a knockoff and not give you the credit but you could always try. The new owner of majestic wants damn near 700 just to rebuild my 57trim and swap the compressor wheel for a 60-1, that should give you some idea of what quality costs, but you gotta pay if you seriously wanna play, and play for more than a few weeks anyway ;) On another note, i have seen several of those ebay turbos around town on cars, and although i haven't seen one fail, the people that mainly had them are the kids running around blowing their hondas up every other summer running the piss out of them with no proper tuning or fuel setup.

I use to grab up every junk turbo i could find and i had a deal worked out with the guy that use to own majestic turbo where i could turn in 8 junk ones for whatever t3/4 hybrid i wanted. Those were the days :) Dig throughthe core bin at a junk yard, offer them 200 bucks for 8 cores and pay the shipping and have a new t3/4 for under 300 bucks. I wish Kevin had never sold the place.

I know a lot of people with this turbo running good but my best friend hast it on a 1994 mazda 323 h/b with BP 1.8L DOHC engine, stock internal and safc 309whp at 17 psi, on dynojet, hes been running hard for 1 and a half years on that turbo, it dosent have shaft play and no signs of damage, he says it could last 2, 3 years even more and if he broke this thing every 2 year is worth it

wrong?? I did see this turbo up close. Why do I have to lie about something so simple:confused: Did you run the turbo yet?

you are wrong, while i won't run the 50 trim on my car the ebay is slightly bigger than a 14b. if you like i can take pictures so you see:thumb: not trying to argue but don't put false statments on here about stuff. while i agree that 50 trim wheel looks small, it is bigger than a 14b, maybe the size of a 16g or even 18g.
