Ill stick with a real mitsu turbo thank you

Most of us work for our money, so buying somthing that could end up going to shit isnt cost effective when its broken

I buy my parts ONE TIME, not twice

So have fun ya cheap asses

I would stick with a 14b over ebay stuff

Learn to post something when you know what your talking about, or for that matter can backup your statement. If you read this form from begining to end you might learn a few things. Other wise keep the mouth shut :beatentodeath:

What a stupid ignorant post:nono:. If thats all you have to say dont post. After looking at your profile this post does not suprise me. This guy is sharing what he has done and looks that he is successful with what he is trying to do.

You are using the stock intake right? It would be nice to get a fhr or a sheet metal intake when you upgrade the cams if you havent already. Take advantage of the top end power.

Yeah i am still useing the stock intake. SBR has a really nice Sheet Metal one for sale that i am looking at right now along with my cams. Maybe after the Christmas season i can grab those items :rocks:

Yeah, I've been seeing this too. Apparently the Chinese have caught wind of SBR and FP's "Sleeper 16" and "Bastard 20" variants.

I'm surprised they haven't copied the Greddy 18G yet.

Ive also noticed they are selling on ebay a 20g . To my understanding its a 20g wheel in a td05 housing.. Im curious if anyone on here has tried it?eBay Motors: evo3 20g ported turbo dsm eclipse talon 1g 2g tsi gst (item 120194567694 end time Dec-13-07 19:14:47 PST)

FHR intake?

The wheels don't look that much bigger.

Eclipserydazz: I started my motor up today and was tuning in the 16g and everything seems to be good other then i found out my throttle body shaft seals are leaking really bad!!!!

Also NO boost creep!!!!

The link for the 20g says that it only puts out 380hp, just like the 16g. I would just call them and ask then you will know for sure.

Thats awesome man :thumb:
Well get that t-body leak fixed and get some numbers for us like i did. Hope you have some nice luck with this one like i did and produce some good times with numbers :thumb:

I was also looking at the ebay 20g. It does say 380hp, but the cfm is 640 and the compressor wheel has the same specs as a mhi 20g. If they lower the price a bit I'll go with it instead of the 16g.

td05h 20gs cannot put out much more than an evo3 16g, even w/ the 640cfm compressor. In fact, the MHI 20g compressor map shows a choke of 700cfm (that's close to a 50-trim's choke). But, the td05h turbine in a 7cm^2 turbine housing is very small for this level and cannot evacuate but so much gases. In the end, you'll get more lag for minimally more airflow than an evo3 or ebay evo3.

Are you talking about bastard 20gs or a actual tdo6 cover 20g with the tdo5h turbine. I would have to argue this point. I have had an evo3 and now am running the 06 cold side with a 05h turbine clipped 15* and there is a very noticeable gain in power. The spool up is not that much later either.

That is because your turbine clip allows the overall VE of your setup to go up. Thus it can reach deeper into the 20g's potential. You have a "larger" turbine than a td05h, because you've clipped it 15 degrees.

I was discussing a typically unclipped td05h turbine. As that ebay turbine is.

So that cover really holds it back then. That ebay 20g cost quite a bit more than the 16g, so unless it packs a punch, I wont buy it.

You know i saw that too. But so far i am still having no issues with the turbo yet. And i am very happy so far with the purchase :thumb:
But your right, that 20g housing looks the same as the 16g, a little bit more cash, so i am not too sure about that vendor.

The only differance I see is the 16g showes a wheel diameter of 67.9mm and a A/R of 49 with a .8 bar accuator and the 20g wheel 68mm A/R 54 and a 1bar accuator. The hot sides are the same.

The compressor cover does not hold it back. The small unclipped td05h turbine holds a tdo5h 20g back. . .

I'm talking about turbines not flowing enough to merit a larger compressor.

Exactly. Don't expect your 20g compressor to flow much more than an evo316g if you're running the 20g w/ the same turbine as an evo316g.

You can, in fact, swap the 14b turbine housing onto that ebay 20g and have it flow little more than a maxed out 14b. Perhaps into the small16g range.

Within reasonable race circumstances, the evo3 16g compressor flows as much as an unclipped td05h 7cm^2 turbine can flow, perhaps a little more. After that, an upgraded compressor only adds more weight to get moving.

That 20g is just a bastard 20g with the standard td05h turbine right? So really, the 20g isnt much more of an improvment without the td06 turbine. I knew the 16g/18g had the td05h turbine and the 7cm housing, but what problems would that ebay 20g cause over the evo3? Would it still get the extra ~50+ hp?

Not hardly!!! And it would spool a little later to boot.

A clip is cheap, though. It's worth it, if you get a 10-15 degee clip! The turbo plus a clip is quite cheaper than the td05h FP 20g (which comes w/ a clip standard). Just don't expect more flow than an evo3 16g from a non-clipped td05h turbine.

The evo3 16g and especially the 18g compressors really see benefits from clipping. In fact, the td06 or td06h wheel is not too big for the 18g. The spool is still w/in reason (see td06h 20g). And the newly released 18g map suggests up to 657cfm flow potential (that's around 45 lbs/min) at 145K rpms and 20psi.

What the hell? So you just punched a hole right through the center of the rad, or what?

That pic is if you would imagine the car was see through. The pipe wiggles around the tow hook (or where it used to be) and then up under the radiator and between the sub frame. The Red pipe just shows an idea of how the pipes are bent. You cant go through the rad support like the usual short route. Because the intercooler is to wide.

And to the other comment thanks for the compliment.:thumb:

I just saw that ebay 20g and that looked tempting but if its not that big of a difference then its probably not worth the extra money. I dont think I would pay 500 for that turbo anyways. If it comes down in price closer to 300 then maybe.

Well I think the choice is the 16g then. I don't want to pay that much more and it not be worth it. I don't want to get a turbo at such and such price and have to get a clip just to make it worth while. I have a die grinder so porting out that wastegate passage wont be a problem along with the o2 housing. I would've liked to get that new fp 18g, but since the price shot up it's not going to happen. I didn't realize it flowed that much, 20g's flow 640 right?

I'll probably do your short route ic pipe too danyz250f. That way I can open up the bumper if need be.
