So what are your transmission plans? Are you still going to run your transmission preloaded at the line or are you going to design something new to handle a harder launch. What about axles with the new power? With a 15x10 are you gonna be keeping a stock rear suspension setup or going with a 4 link setup in the back if you didn't already, don't remember from your pics of your rearend. Are you going to be keeping the same basic chassis look or doing some more carbon fiber or some lexan in the windows and nice aluminum wing off the back or keeping the stock style wing?

Wow, ya it does feel as if Ive just met a celebrity LOL.

John, will the car still be a "full-interior" car? I read earlier in this thread that the car is 150lbs lighter, and was wondering if that 150lbs was all from ripping out the interior?

I dont have a lot of time but let me answer a few.

Of course I know pinks won't take a 7 second clase but think of all the exposure a dsm would get. And hey he is my myspace friend haha.

It will still have the dash the console and as much as the rear plastic as will fit. The stock wing in the center has been re made into sheetmetal copy and yes it does have a 12" wing extending off of the back. Somehow he still kept the 3rd brake light though ( don't know why the parachute is in the way)

Keep the questions coming but I will not post any pics untill it is done. It'll be better that way.

I am just mostly curious about the transmission question. Are you going to continue to preload yours off the line or can your dogbox handle the 47R launch?

So when can we expect to see pics? Do you have a finish date in mind?

Just one question about the pics. Would you be against posting some of the progress pics when you post the final pics? I would understand if so. I am not talking specific pics of special designed parts, but I just want to see how your car was before this last round of mods, then was when stripped, and how it all came back together. It has always amazed me with the amount of work you put into that car, that it remains so CLEAN.

And personally to me, the fact that you took the time to keep the 3rd brake light, even though it didn't matter, is one of the coolest things. You don't find a lot of dsmers that pay attention to the details like that.

Sue was a sentimental name for me.

Layla sounds like a stripper name and

I just named Audrey. That sounds like a stripper with two kids.

I do like Sugarlumpkins though...hmmm

### mobile sounds like a good car name

Look at Shep. He has just 54 posts and he's maxxed out his rep points. What a guy.

If that doesn't scream "DSM God", then I don't know what does!

i think the max rep points comes standard with the 7.70 timeslip,.... but I COULD be wrong,...

shep, keep kickin ass and takin names, I think you should try and do a special episode of pinks where you and some other guy race for something you two bought together rather than your cars. (I just saw them do that with two bikers on drag prep bikes, they bought a 1000 gsxr together and the winner got it) Challenge some import to show that domestics like us eagles still own, LOL

John,

Your fabbing with tin? Why not just carbon fiber? Just wondering.

hey John,

Are you still planning on doing the Pinks All Out next year? I heard the spots filled up in like twenty minutes from when they went up! If so I'll be there watchin you blaze that beast down there showing the world that dsms are no joke.

If John gets on Pinks I'll fly to see it regardless. Experience of a lifetime.

I'd rather see him compete at an event they won't kick him out of for being too fast, like the shootout...

one of these years I'll make it out, let me know when you think your performance will be the best shep, and I'll be sure to make it to that one.

ill be going to pinks norwalk if build goes as planned. john i hope to see you there just for the simple fact. making the haters cry. good luck with your build cant wait to see her run this season.:talon:

The sound of the engine on Shep's 7 second runs are music to my ears, to think my car could potentially run like this makes me cream my pants. rofl

John Shep, may I ask how you started in DSM's?.. like why not Audi's or another make? I'm sure with the kind of time and money you've spent in DSM's you could have a lot of cars running like this?

Merry xmas all.
