Since i installed my 255 walbro and the afpr i keep smelling gas and it seems like its coming from the engine bay. Btw i have 650cc injectors and a keydiver for the tunning. My afpr right now is set at 50 psi i think, but would that be the cause of it though? Let me know what you think guys. Thanx.

Set your base fuel pressure to the stock level, and examine every inch of fuel line for leaks. Look everywhere from the filter to the rail, injector seals, from the rail to the regulator and the return line. I'm sure you'll find something.

50 psi is a bit high.... Set it down to the factory 2G 43.5psi (mines at 43 psi)... set fuel pressure with vacuum line disconnected from the FPR. I also smelled gas in the engine bay when I installed my FPR as well, turned out I somehow cracked one of my injector insulators. I actually found the leak thorugh a boost leak test, air was coming from when the injector meets the head so I removed to fuel rail to find the insulator cracked.

Its ACTUALLY 43.6psi...but who's counting? ;)

To the OP:
How is your PCV system set-up, is it still stock set-up, or do you just have a hose comming off the crank case vent, just dumping out. If so that right there is your problem.

I do remember when i put the fuel rail back on, two of the rubber spacers that goes under the screw it was missing, but what makes it hard is that as soon as i shutt the car off and go under the hood to see where the smell is coming from, its gone, i cant smell it anymore. Also the PCV sett up is stock.

well, Your profile states you have DSMLink. Go into the ECU dropdown box on the tool bar, select miscellaneous. You will notice there is a button for fuel pump, With the car off and ignition on press the button and this will make the fuel pump run constant untill button is pressed again to shut it off. Do this then check for any leaks or odor with pump running.

Hold up. Are you saying that you're missing two of your three fuel rail plastic.... things (mounts) and that it's not bolted down securely? You better fvcking fix that right quick.

Sounds like the spacers for the fuel rail need to be replaced (good luck finding them if you didn't see them on the floor). The local Pick-n-Pull is a perfect treasure chest for these as I've found out :coy: .

yeah i'm gona have to order a new set...does anyone know where i can buy them. I do remember one of the dsm vendors was selling them but i can remember which one. Btw the fuel rail is secured, but it might not be leveld out.

If you are missing the spacers for the fuel rail to the cylinder head, then yes, that's most likely where the fuel smell is coming from. The injectors are not being held down correctly, so the o-rings and grommets are probably leaking. I would take a different car to the dealership and pick up a new set of o-rings, spacers, and insulators just in case. Make sure they are all seated correctly before you tighten the bolts down.
