This reminds me of your "Fast and the furious graphics and paint code" thread. But anyways to answer your question, here is the clip from the movie I found on youtube.

I think its sounds like a HKS SSQV bov with a different fitting in it. Not sure tho.

Sounds like the I6 out of the Supra is the one puting out the HKS SSQV Sound. That Honduh is puting out a Blitz Type S Sound, RX7 sounds like a N/A Rotary... The damn Skyline sounds like a stock BOV in some scenes with no recirc... in some other scenes it sounded just like my Tial 50mm...Sounds like a chattering sound. Unless your talking about the metal grinding sound they put as thier ABS/Fiberglass bumpers rubbed on each other, LOL...

HKS SSQV barely has any chirping (as in the tial, chattering)... sometimes boost fluxuations will cause it to chirp. But the sound that has the high pitched whine, or the Fast And The Furious Green Eclipse Sound, is a Greedy Type S, my favorite, The BOV I used is what you hear in a few scenes on that Supra, which puts out the Chattering sound, is a Tial 50mm BOV during mainly low boost.

This thread makes me want to make a music video of different bov sounds... :D

I believe what you all are looking for can be found here. Be hold THE SITE ! ! !

BTW, the HKS has a flutter when you start to get in boost (2-5 psi) and a whistle at higher psi.

I'll try and get a few vids up of mine this weekend. :thumb: If people are still wondering.
Also there was a guy on some video site that actually did back to back videos over the Type S and HKS SSQV.

HKS along with stutterbox FTW :sneaky:

Edit: Just found the link

Ok first I never mentioned the bov in the green eclipse I just like the way it looks.. 2nd if in the movie it sound like there is not a bov most the time is it safe to say I was right with it being computer generated or am I going to loose $50..

Yea I came to my senses on that one..LOL

Here's my car with a Greddy Type-S....I use to get that TIAL like sound, but I swapped to an FP 4in intake which changed the sound completely. Im not gonna lie, I do kinda miss it LOL. Oh...ya dont mind my crazy ass friends hah.

Ohhhh I hear it. Ya that's computer generated. According to the article. It had LOTS of bling, an intake, exhaust, and intercooler kit. In some shots it's real (like RIGHT before they race) and some shots its edited in.

HKS SSQV Exactly how it sounds in a DSM.

nope. mine is completely different

nope. mine is completely different

Exact same sound my friends spyder puts out. Exact same sound one of the few Evo Customers puts out. Exact same sound my old friends 10 second WRX puts out, all with the SSQV. But, is yours dumped back into the intake? Cause every install with the HKS SSQV we've done or seen, does not have a recirc dump. They are all open air.

I've never heard in my entire life, a SSQV flutter like that. Might be because of how its installed? Strange.

and I agree with LSD, I didn't hear anything really on the Skyline. I heard the SSQV on the Supra... And the Type S on the Honduh. And the Rotary sounded N/A to me.

nope. mine is completely different

Really? Here's two, they sound identical... I have more video. Took it tonight.

THIS IS NOT STREET RACING, WE ARE CRUISING AT A SPEED OF 40MPH ON A PUBLIC STREET PURPOSELY MAKING OUR BLOW OFF VALVES GO OFF FOR VIDEO PURPOSES!!!!

the HKS is able to use different inserts to make different sounds.

the silver and purple ones make the high pitch whisle

the gold makes the sound like the Tial.
