Well, i have not posted here before but i have been doing a lot of looking around, and searching* but i really have not found out some things. I've also been all over 2gnt.com.

Well heres my problem. I bought a Auto '95 Talon TSI :talon: with a blown motor for 250$ Body is in great shape. I was gunna go and have the motor built at a shop. But the whole thing fell though. So now im here and looking for a motor. I found a 4g63 T from a 94 talon 400$ . Im pretty sure thats a six bolt. And i have a 7 bolt correct? The bolts where talking about is for the tranny right? And if so is there any way i can keep my tranny and put the 1g motor in it. Also i read that you have to change a motor mount to put it in. not sure but i think thats what I read.

I know theres a Search feature, and Vfaq, So please dont post them.

Help is much needed, Thanks :talon:

I sure hope its not a AWD model and you towed it on the trailer like that. If so you can say goodbye to your diff...

If its front wheel carry on.

No its not awd, no no. Not that dumb. This isnt the First 2g in the family.

My brother had a Auto '98 Talon ESi , A five speed '95 Eclipse Rs And now a '98 10th anny 5 speed Gs.

So if the 94 motor is a 7 bolt. What mods am i going to have to do to bolt this into my car..

Ive got a Eprom Ecu if that helps at all.

Thanks alot for the reply's :)

I read that like 5 times, so i can under stand it. I guess its not in depth enough for me to understand. Also it says alot about 90-92 parts..

Check out this build:

Where it refers to 90-92 parts it really means 1g parts. They say 90-92 because those were the 6 bolt years.

That article pretty much explains what all needs to be done. You can search the forums for more answers if you're still confused. Or if you have specific questions, ask them and we'll try to answer them for you.

If you are going to put a 7bolt back in it.You might as well get a 7bolt from a 2g.It will be easier.
If you want to put a 1g engine in there might as well make it a 6bolt.
You are pretty much doing tha swap alreadymigh as well do it right.

May I ask what exactly is happened to the engine that is in it?

Okay, im probably buying a 2 g motor tonight. 1500 shipped. it has about 40k miles on it.

Any one have a cheaper motor ?

If you know what your looking for you can check local yards. GL with that car though. Hope the swap goes well. Keep us up to date.

IMO, just do a 6bolt and 5-speed swap if you're wanting a manual.

I mean shit, for $250, who cares how long it's down?

6bolt swap would be fun too. Build the block, use your 2g head if it's still good. ;)
