I havent been on tuners in a while, sorry. Im gonna take some pics of under the hood and such, maybe a new video a little further back, or on the highway when it shoots a flame. The noise isnt that bad. Its nowhere as loud as a honda WOT sounding like 1000 bees in a coffee can. :notgood: ROFL

I rivotted a MAF adapter plate to the bumper, so that the "pipe" part goes through the bumper. Again, pics will be up soon.

Somebody please put up some pics of thier engine bay so we can see the routing that you chose. I have an external dump( for my kids) and I like this idea. Also what size piping are you using for your dump tube. Post pics.

[Qoute]-It's not completely done yet. I'm going to rivet on a metal plate that fits the pipe snug, to give it that clean look.

Hey I just remembered that jayracing.com sells this sick little stainless steel flame plate to cover the hole in your bumper. Not sure if you new about it or not.

wonder why pictures were never put up of the engine bay or the plate attached?

Here's some pics of the plate, and the tube that I use to connect from the dumptube to the plate. I am busy redoing it to get rid of the 90degree angle

I'm really considering doing this. Won't be as attractive without antilag tho.

watch out for cops
one day you will be pulled over by having a machine gun under the hood.

Been there, done that! Was an interesting night!

I've been interested in doing this... I love the flame plate LOL... never thought of that... But was just going to put a 4x4" square plate on the bumper.

Here's a pic of the plate installed on the front bumper. I believe he ended up using a spare MAF plate after realizing it would fit nicely. It's a bit dirty in this pic...LOL...and it's not a close up but it's the best I have right now.

I'm not sure why but I can't find any under hood pics. We'll have to take some under hood and some close-ups soon so I can post em up for you guys.

Very nice! I'll have to post some video at night with my dump. Lights up the whole underside of the car.

If you have a very aggressive tune like mine you won't see much. I've had people drive right next to me and they never see flames.. just a lot of noise..

An aggresive tune?

The flames are simply caused by an anti-lag system, causing the motors compression to leave the cylinders..

I'm not talking about the anti-lag flames.. I am talking about flames shooting out when just driving.. I don't shoot any flames, but my friend with a base cobb tune on his sti does.. he runs rich (they make the tune like that for safety).. I had my car tuned with with my wideband on a dyno to very nice a/f ratio.

Anytime a flame comes out, its on deceleration. Under acceleration would be hard to accomplish because the cylinders timing is advanced.

Im not an expert on flame shooting, LOL, but thats gotta be pretty sick to see an STi do that. I love Subby's..

Well yeah.. he gets flames on shifts, he's only got a cobb tuner with the high octane/turboback map.. and a turbo back...

Im starting to hear the pipe rattle on the MAF adapter, and im thinking of just exhaust wrapping the entire pipe. Anyone else have any ideas on how to fix that rattle?
