So I have a new j-pipe but it does not have a nipple in it for my boost controller, I was wondering if there is anywhere else I can do it or if I need to make a nipple? And if I do need to make one what should I use and how should I do it?

ps. it is aluminum so it isn't easy to weld

Maybe I forgot but , I thought the BC came off of the wastegate . Not on the nipple of the jpipe .

Well I just bought an aem tru-boost, so I want to make sure I get it hooked up right, I don't have it yet but it will be here on Monday. Any more advice would be great.

Well if you wana do it right make sure you get your pressure of the j pipe NOT the bov you can ask any real tuner that knows about turbos they will tell you the same tapping of the bov is not the right way..

Use your J-pipe for your boost source. As stated, drill the pipe, tap it, and insert a nipple. Most are made of brass, not copper, but that's just semantics. I forget which size fitting is preferable, 1/8 NPT or 1/4, but if oldman sees this, he'll probably chime in with the correct answer, phrased in the form of a question.

Also, as mentioned, tapping the BOV line is the OLD way of doing things, and has since been proven to cause a few unwanted side-effects, such as opening the BOV at the wrong time and such. And if oldman sees this too, he'll probably chime in with more information, in the form of a haiku.

Ok, I will see what I can do. Thanks for all the help guys. I might make a tech/diy post for the boost controller install when I get it.

Thanks

Use jay-pipe for source, be-o-ve line big no no, one eighth an-pee-tee. :D
