Two weeks ago, I finally achieved the dream that I've been fantasizing about since I was about 9 years old. I'm now a proud owner of a 2008 Corvette C6. Velocity Yellow with the 2LT package, including the NPP exhaust for 436 hp/428 ft lbs. of torque. However, now faced with having to take two cars cross country to my new home in San Diego, I decided to sell my '99 GS-T for a the very reasonable price of $7,500(which is going to my supercharger fund). I find myself more sad about the sell than I anticipated as I've been to hell and back with it.

I may buy myself another one in the future. :D Sure as hell feels great to have the new car smell, and a warranty again though. :D

Lucky! That thing is sexy. I bet it is a huge difference driving it compared to the DSM.

Indeed so! I'll never forget the first time I actually stepped on it. That scared the living hell out of me. I can still hear the tires scream, and holding the steering wheel like my life depended on it. ROFL The way the exhaust is setup, two of the ports stay closed until you hit 3500 rpms. However, once you pass that point and they open up.....whoa.OMG

I don't see that lasting very long...

Congrats on the new ride though, it is probably my favorite car on the road right now. Wish I could afford one, I guess I've got the next best thing for now. One day I will own a C6.

Welcome to the brotherhood!!

Damm it.... your stock car has more HP than my Z now.

I was actually looking for a Z06, but the only Velocity Yellow one I could get nearby was the C6. It worked out though, after some talking, and errors in paperwork on their part, I got it at a very reasonble price:thumb:.

I would love to have another DSM in the future. AWD this time(Defiant :p ). It was the first car I really put extensive work into. Alot of the guys who are still here(though likely have forgotten about me) were so helpful.:dsm:

Real nice ride, how much do they run brand new? I'm sure its more then what I make in a year. Oh, and what's wrong with Va?! What does Ca have that we don't have?

Actually, don't answer that.

id assume its a life-altering decision that includes something career oriented.

Indeed. Not only does my wife live there, I have a new job I'm starting there. Oh, and the sticker price was roughly $48,200.

its gonne be nice not to have to crawl under your car anymore and get dirty. Now is when you can actually enjoy a car without having to wrench on it all the time.

NICE CAR :thumb:
