I couldn't agree more. Regardless of the year, DSMs stock have a very sweet style that honestly do not need a body kit. The only thing I didn't like about mine, was the god-awful gray cloth crap interior. A paint job and covers changed all of that. I changed my head and taillights too. Honestly for the better I say.

Toss the sticker, the Altezzas and maybe black out the stock lighting. Then tint the windows and get some black wheels. My .02 cents.

EDM, I think your car looks good. I would ditch the APC Stickers... Like someone else said, if you like the tails.... Modify them! You could try...... take them apart, paint the insides black... then get some Red Clear Coat, and paint the outside red, to look kinda oem'ish... Or VHT Nightshade the outside... Another thing you could try is mod them into LED Tails, using LED Clusters from Semi Trucks... you can find parts at local TA's... or online even. I did it with my old Smoked Altezza's... they looked awsome!

I also agree about the 2GA Body... I love the way they look that way.

Thats identical to the car that almost became my first DSM. It was that color, and a 95 GSX.

I agree with the wing also, I didn't like the NT Wing... I went with a Turbo wing... but just gave it to a friend for her birthday for her 98 Eclipse. I'm going with a Talon High Rise Wing... I think the talon two tone paint looks soo hot!

Other then that, I think your car is sexy!

Of course it's directed at you. No offense, but you make a lot of "ricer" comments and the car pic in your avatar and gallery has a bodykit on it which = RICE.

I would second all of the other comments, burn the decals, smash the tail lights. I do like the idea of converting to a talon, not too many people do it! At the end of the day its up to you though!

Explain to me there genius why exactly a body kit is rice...

Rather than just, 'ug say body kit rice'
The only people who have said anything negative similar to what you said have POS rustbucket w/ faded paint and zipties holding it together. Just because you cant afford it doesn't make it rice.

I had my car messed up in two accidents in one week, one was a hit and run in a parking lot and the second was getting rear ended in a line of 5 cars, me being the 2nd to the last to get slammed into. Needless to say after that I needed to do quite a bit of bodywork.

I didn't want to go back to OEM and I wanted something custom and not gawdy, I pulled it off and receive respect from domestics and imports.

You are just one of those guys who say, " NON-OEM Rice RICE"


At least have some credibility behind what you say such as,
1. the kit looks horrible
2. the kit is unfinished.
3. something with a point


saying, kit = rice automatically doesn't make you seem like the smartest person...

Ever since you "so called" re-entered the dsm scene your favorite word has been "rice" yet you're a rice burner

1. Every bodykit I see brings back F&F days, I'm surprised you're not a NT saying that your shit is turbo'ed just like in the movie
2. They belong on Hondas
3. They're all ugly IMHO
4. Ditch those POS Z3 fenders while you're at it too
5. Saying your kit is rice has nothing to do with money. I just spent $1600 including paint on my 2gb conversion buddy...
6. Your accident excuse doesn't cut it either..

However, all those points are what I think. If you wanna keep your bodykit then that's your problem, not mine but it still is ''rice" in my opinion

And by the way make a poll on here and ask if bodykits aren't "rice" and see which way the poll would go. I'm sure most people would agree.
