Simple: who's taking Lord Stanley's Cup in the NHL playoffs this year and in how many games?

I say Ducks in 6. (even though I want the cup to come home to Canada the Ducks have been my favorite team since the team entered the league)

I have news for you. The Sens as much as I love to hate them cause Im a Leafs fan and from Toronto are going to take the cup home.

The Sens almost swept Buffalo beating them in 5 games flat. Buffalo is the best team in the league points wise and games won home and on the road, nobody was ahead of them anywhere in the whole league west or east. The sens clobbered them pretty easily.

I just don't think the Ducks stand a chance, the Sens have been un-stoppable through every team they have played during the whole playoff season.

I agree that the Sens are a force and have been unstoppable... But my reasoning behind choosing Anaheim in 6 is that they have the best shutdown in the league in: Pahlsson, R. Neidermeyer, and Moen. The Ducks also boast the best defensive pairing in the league with Pronger and Scotty Neidermeyer.

Don't get me wrong, the Sens HAVE been great but they just haven't faced that calibre of line yet and I'm not sure if Ottawa's top line can handle it.

Regardless, the game tonight should be great. :thumb:

Sens in 4 and it's easy for me to say because I hate the Leafs and want every leaf fan, who ever knocked Emery and the Sens, to crawl into a corner and shut up.

The cup has to come back to Canada at least once in 14 years. What those Alberta teams failed at, Ottawa must win back.

As much as I hate Ottawa being a Leafs fan I think they'll win it. It would be nice to get the cup back in Canada. Also, I find it funny that except for one guy all the posters in this thread are from the Great White North.

Love our hockey :thumb:

The Ducks draw first blood, 1-0. It was one hell of a nail-biter.

You might be right with what you said in the 3rd post now after seeing game 1. I honestly didn't believe that the Ducks would beat them in game 1 but they pulled it out bigtime in the 3rd period.

Will be interesting on Wednesday what happens.

11 out of the 12 above posts have been from Canadians. LOL

Sens will take it..they had just come off a 10 or 11 day break. They'll be on fire next game. You could see even half way through the 2nd period the sens were pooched and in the 3rd they were absolutely dead and still almost won.

canadians know more about hockey then any jerks from cali ever will. Gotta give it to the Sen's

Well not Hamilton, we don't need another team in southern Ontario seriously.. But anywhere else in Canada would be fine. Maybe the Nordiques should come back hahaha but from the Ducks not Avalanche. Even something in the upper mid east USA would be cool with us. Problem is nobody in Cali even knows what hockey is. Florida is great, they love them in Tampa Bay so whats the problem with Cali seriously? People are messed out there.

Sad to say, but Anaheim is straight-up outclassing Ottawa.

When it's even-strength Anaheim makes Ottawa look like a junior team.. It's a damn good thing for Ottawa that Emery is on fire.

Sorry boys, but If the ducks even win once in Ottawa I think we know who the champs are going to be:(

The game is starting in 10 minutes... 10. :D  :thumb:

I couldn't belive the Sens dominating play last night... Maybe this is the momentum swing they need in the series; only Monday night's game will tell but I we're going to see a more focused and a more disciplined Anaheim club.

If the senss tie the series next game, they win the cup. If the ducks win the next game, they take the cup in 5. I really think the sens will win just because of the fact it is there time now. The ducks don't seem like the team that is destined but the sens are.

We will have to see... Even if the ducks win the next game they still might not take the series. The Sens play amazingly well under pressure. This game was serious pressure for them to win. If the duck won they would be down 3-0 and need to win all 4 games afterwards to get the cup, slim chance of that. It was basically do or die in Saturdays' game and they chose DO... They play great under pressure so I still think they have a serious chance at the cup either way.
