hey guys im still new at this but thank you for your help when i bought my car my shiffting was very stiff i thought replacing bushings and maybe a shortshifter would solve the problem but it didnt... my friend drove it and he did some reseach for me and he sad he might think i have a dog box he, all the gears go smothe as long as u slam them hard driving normal takes a lil more power for them to go in but racing/shifting hard they go good! i dont know if ### i just asked makes sens i hope i can get help im also draning my transmission this week and using royal purpel..

thanks for every ones help danny

Dogboxes have straight cut gear so they whine in all 5 forward gears like it would on a normal car in reverse.

So does it whine?

Id guess youd just need a rebuild. Dogboxes arent too common for a street car.

well its not fully built i mean the gears go in fine and everything is smothe theres no play wats so ever on the shifter from "n" first gear is just up theres no play to the left.. i just feel it a lil hard to shift..unless i slam the gears LOL

I'd try the clutch pedal adjustment on TRE's site or RRE's site first, and change your tranny and clutch fluids if you haven't already.

ill be doing this week and i do have a new clutch prob has no more then 3000k stage 3 ACT. And is there any tips on how to change tranny fluids and wich one showld i use i was thinking royal purpel or even ordering the b&m one?

There is a drain and a fill plug. Make sure to loosen the fill plug first becuase if you can't get it out, and it's already drained.....how will you get fluid in? Check VFAQ for tips and instructions.
A popular replacement is Penzsoil Synchromesh, found at Autozone.
