Well, went back out to the track today after fixing the t-case mess from last weekend. My 1st pass of the day was my best as it was still somewhat cool out in the morning (68 degrees) as the day went on the temps got up to 81-82 degrees out. I need to completely relearn how to launch the car on this new gt4202 turbo.

straight up 40lbs and 100shot of nitrous for spool (nitrous shuts off at 33lbs) Couldn't get anymore then 41Lbs today as the wastegate spring just doesn't have any more left it in. I was planing on running the nitrous all the way through today but my wideband sensor decided it was going to be flakey on me today, so I need a new wideband sensor, so I realy couldn't make very many adjustments on the fuel, I know it was on the rich side, but didn't want to risk it.
Here is my new personal best.

60ft. 1.687
330ft. 4.312
1/8th 6.461
mph 119.95
1000 8.231
1/4 9.701
MPH 153.37

Rest of the day it went

9.86 @152.77mph with a 1.741 60ft.
9.94 @152.72mph with a 1.780 60ft.
9.73 @152.87mph with a 1.676 60ft.

Car would bog on every damn run, it was a combination of both me not wanting to break on the line after last weekend and trying to get decent boost out of the hole. Neither were working for me today..

So not too bad for my 1st full passes down the track with the new setup of the 2007 season, car has lot more left in it. Geuss it's time to start playing around with the 2step settings to build some more boost on the line. Car would bog all the way back down to 3200rpm from a 7500rpm 2step.

Drove the car to and from the tracks, stock head with crower springs/retainers HKS 272/272 cams, no port work done, OEM valves. Car weighs in at 2930 full race weight.
Same motor that has been in the car for the past 3 seasons, this will be season #4 on this motor.:D

Video of the runs today, sorry for the poor editing, I just threw it together real quick, tired as hell as it's been a long hot day.

Right click and save as please. Enjoy!!

Awesome. All is I can say is im jealous and I wish you a lot of luck this season.

What do you figure you have in it for a 60ft when you really get into it

The car has a mid to low 1.4 60ft time in it, just need to work on the 2step settings to build more boost. Once the car 60ft's the way I like it to, then the car will go low 9's. It's boging so bad it has to regain itself after the 60ft.

NICE! Looks like she was running a little phat but I'm sure with some more tweeking you'll get it running faster. Not bad for the first few passes to start off the 07 season :thumb:

When I explain the potential of these cars to people, I use the video of your 9.99 pass. I am eager to see you get into the low nines this season.

Stay on it, good luck.

he's probably going to stay the same and just get more aggressive with the antilag to build up more boost off of the line. Thats just my guess though.

Good runs man! I'll be watching your car for the rest of the season. I just ran my first time of the season with my new motor, 13.7 at only 10psi. Im going to put my fuel mods in and turn up the boost for wednesday and hope for solid 12's.

Surprised they let you keep running with no chute.

Awesome runs, how's the driveability of the 2900 with the street disk? How many passes do you have on it?

I don't have the ACT 2900 clutch anymore, haven't since last season. I am using a Quarter master twin disc clutch supplied by Devo tuning.

Jake, do you plan on switching to something more aggressive than the 272's. I think a bigger cam on a setup like yours would yield some nice gains.

It's funny you mention that, I was having this talk with my team yesterday, the 272 cams are killing me right now. So yes I will be doing somthing different, just need to get in touch with Robert and Scott at FP and have a talk with them about it and determine the best cams for my needs.:thumb:

It has it in it IF and ONLY IF the driver is willing and ready to unleash her. Next time, take off your panties and let her rip Jake.

Good runs either way.

HAHA! I know it man, I was so worried about breaking the t-case like I did last weekend, my foot just wouldn't let me do it yesterday, the last pass I full throttle launched it and it still boged pretty bad. Still got some tweaking to do...:thumb:

Nice man!
Do you have the stock flywheel, or a lighter one?

....cant wait to see the car when its up near Seattle.

Hey do you give Tuning Services? "JMTuning"?
I sent ya a PM 3 weeks ago. I wouldnt doubt your PM folder is full.

Keep up the good stuff!:thumb:

congrates .....I love seeing you go faster and faster , so will you be picking up a bigger spring for that wastegate ? If so what will you be running the next time boost wise?

Jake, nice runs. Looks to me your driving the shit out of that thing! I have never ran a 2step or antilag. What size tires are you running? Car looks Great, Good luck Bill:thumb: :thumb:

Thanks Bill! I am running the Hoosier QTP DOT slicks, 26" tall. I think that is one of the main causes for the bog on the launch, I think a set of 24" slicks will get her out of the hole a bit better.
I think I can lean alittle harder on the shifting, I was taking it easy for the most part, but I know it will just get quicker as the season goes on.

I must hand it to you guys with your car running into the 8's at well over 160+mph. I know just how hard it is to get over 150+mph..:thumb:

We run the 24.5 slicks it will help your 60ft and also less stressfull on the drivetrain. The only thing is your going to be going thru the traps between 9500 and 10000 rpm. Get um Jake

I may just do that, I've heard good things about going to the 24" tires. What slicks do you use Bill? M&H? Or the M/T's?
On the 26" hoosiers I am crossing the traps in 4th gear at 8300rpm at 153mph.
