I've done alot of research on the GT35R and if looking at the pure WHP numbers on boost alone, the Mitsu-based PTE at 30psi works out to ~500WHP (DSM Motorsports racecar), a .63 A/R Garrett ~550-600WHP (too many people to list), a .82 Garrett 550-650.

The most I've heard out of a T3-based GT35R (on boost alone) is Keith Laforte's 680WHP in a .82 A/R at 30+ psi OMG

So yes, hot side does matter w.r.t. WHP :dsm:

Hey man, I don't know if your still in the market but I found a shop who builds a t4 divided flange gt35r. An audi shop called a-spec builds a .70 A/R divided t4 gt35r :thumb:

If things fall through with my mani builder this may be my next route.

I did not mean there wont be a power difference. I meant there will be nowhere to go as far as upgrade to another turbo. I know there is a power difference. I have the T3 flanged GT35R.

Got both the ERL Manifold and GT35R mounted for mockup yesterday (yes I'm aware only two fasteners are holding it on ;) ) and thought I'd share some pics showing clearances:

Did you get yours from FP too? I just got the same turbo in the mail last week, but with a polished comp housing :ricer: :)

Although the mitsu hotside is smaller than a t3 ive seen cars rocking the fp3065 and 3565 putting down well over 500whp, i dont think its too restrictive, of course im talkin about just the fp mitsu hotside, theres a lot of garbage mitsu hotsides out there.....

There's a reason why the FP "bolt on" housings make alot more power then all the other typical Mitsu style housings out there. Basically because all they have in common is the inlet flange. The rest of the housing is completely custom & designed around the GT wheel, unlike all the other bolt on options out there. So while the FP30 series will "bolt on", it shouldn't be classified with other bolt on housings as far as performance.

Actually it would be interesting to see some testing of the FP housing vs the std T31 style 4 & 5 bolt T3 housing that most run on their DSM & how they compare as these T3 housings weren't actually designed for the GT turbine wheel & are just machined to fit. The proper housing for these GT turbo's is Garretts GT housing which has a 4 bolt 3" extended bell outlet, unlike the std 2.5" T31 housing that most run. I'm thinking on a matched housing such as the T3 .63 AR, the FP housing would have the performance advantage.

Use my measurements to see if will fit. I can take others if you want as will be sitting as it is as parts filter in from various sources.

Street cost is $550 for the ERL (either T3 or T4 flanged) and there a very few shops (none on this site) that can even get them. I do "know a guy" that will sell for less than that though ;) :dsm:

Hey man, any updates?

Still waiting on a few small pieces for the downpipe fabrication which should be here mid-week. If my welder friend has time this week, should have it complete by early next week :D

So did you ever get your setup installed? :dsm:

No unfortunately, starting to feel like I am out 1150 bucks and I need to start redesigning my setup. My turbo from FP was lost in the mail from UPS and it seems SLS will not give me a part, a refund, or simply an e-mail. UPS will be giving me a refund this week for the turbo however (scared the crap out of me that they wouldn't cause they said it was signed for, but not by us). OMG

So like, back to square one and then some. :(
