OK, I have looked and have yet to find a FMIC install where the A/C is still in tact.

I must have my A/C!!!

Does ANYONE have a solution to this? I have heard that the SRT4 FMIC will work like this. Is this true? I have an EVOIII 16g, my goal is 325-350hp. I am not planning on upgrading the turbo anytime soon, (its new) and therefore do not think that I will require a very large FMIC.

Is it possible to keep the a/c and bumper support?

What intercooler are people using to retain their a/c? If anyone?
(no, no, no, not the side mount! )

Thanks for any input!

Chris.

Chris,

I used the Extremepsi Street FMIC kit. I have a 1g auto with AC, power steering and ABS. I was able to install the FMIC with short route piping WITHOUT having to remove my AC or modify it... The only lines I had to modify were for the power steering. Here are a few pictures from my install.. The first two are of the holes I had to enlarge on the sides of the radiator supports. In the first two pics you can still see the hard lines for the AC and the AC condensor still installed amd un-modified. The last is of the FMIC mocked into place.

you can still retain your a/c with a fmic but you may have to get a slim fan

Dejon sells a relatively affordable street front mount intercooler for around $450 and you keep your a/c, but you'll need a slimmer fan. Doesn't seem like such a big problem...

Check the thread I started out.. I kept the a/c and didn't have to put in a slim fan. Long route piping though. ClickHERE.

i was wondering the same because im buying a 93tsi with a big fmic and it dosent have a/c and i want to install it. can i?

Has anyone heard of the SRT4 FMIC being used? And is it any good? A/C?

Ive heard of it. There's a lot of companies out there that have intercooler kits that will work for the talon with the a/c. Do you already have a SRT intercooler in your hands or something?

No, not yet. I had just heard that it was a very easy "bolt on" with minimal fuss and "work" to get it installed. Thought that it might be good enough for my goals, but it seems that there are much better alternatives out there!

I just need the intercooler, I already have the 2.5" piping kit. I'll have to look into the other FMIC recommendations.
