So I sold my 95 Eclipse GS to put a downpayment on a new car. I bought an 07 Cobalt SS straight off the showroom floor with 35 miles on it. I didn't get it cause I thought it was the fastest thing in the world, I got it to replace my Eclipse as my DD. The Eclipse had been in 2 accidents, and had 160k miles on it. I wanted something newer and a little quicker, while still being sporty and getting good gas mileage. The Cobalt fit that criteria, it gets an average of 27mpg in town. Plus I love the inside. I have heated leather Recaro seats, 6 disc changer with a 7 speaker Pioneer system w/ a factory sub. The only downfalls is the wing, and the tires suck in the snow (low-pro pirelli's)
Its fairly quick, but I'm going to get stage 2 with my tax return money, it'll up it to about 250hp, and I'll still be warrantied. I have only been in one race, it was an 06 Eclipse GT, we raced from a 20 roll and I beat him, but I don't know by how much cause he let off really quick.

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with it. This is the first car that I've ever owned newer than a 96, and with less than 80,000 miles on it.

My good friend has one, well, he has the Ion Redline. He does really well in the PA Autocrosses with it. Congrats, they are awesome cars.

wait...its not a dsm...I'm disapointed..but at least its a fairly solid car...have fun with it and congrats.
