Yeah i hope it holds up. I know a person that recently did the same thing, his worked out great. Didnt have any problems at all. Everythings looks great (i think) but i should be gettin it started tonight hopefully and ill get some more pics. O by the way the car is a rust free 93 Mitsubish eclipse GSX

Nice. I have a knockoff turbo xs evo III 16g in my 90 laser. It was in there and brand new when I bought the car from some guy and the turbo has been holding great so far.

Why can't I be lucky enough stumble upon a free rust free shell... Geeez... Some guys get all the luck... Hahaha keep us posted.

Yeah im working on getting pictures i got everything done on the motor but have to go get an oil return line tomorrow and hopefully drop it in..

What are you expecting out of this build performance wise?

Is that wastegate going to clear the fans?

well i got everything in. Just have to figure out how i am going to run the intercooler piping off the turbo. There just isnt any room. I had to turn the turbo so it would clear the radiator
I hook some pics ill get them up as soon as i can.

Subscribed, I really want to see how this knock-off-wonder buildup goes. I'm always interested in first-hand results with these things, as experience (instead of blind opinion) on these is always in short supply.

Also, how'd that dump tube clear anything? Can't wait for more pics...

most ebay stuff looks good online when you buy it. I know at least 10 people that turbos didnt last long. They were bought from xspower ssautochrome the knock off ones. Trust me im one of the 10 unlucky ones , i have fake Evo3 16 laying in my garage with shaft play after 600miles with stock boost. I bought MHI Big16G its a japanese made turbo that will last. Good luck tho , keep us updated

i always say you get what you pay for but i hope everything turns out well....keep us updated the more pics the merrier

Ha yeah. Im gonna turn the waste gate and cut the dump turbo down. Im going to go figure out what the hell im gonna do with the intercooler piping.

I've heard of turbos getting alot or play or seizing up completely. I wish you the best of luck. I just hope you have the money to blow. I'm sceptical to say the least

That sucks. Mine is also a fake evo III 16g and mine has lasted about 5000 miles at around 20 psi so far. I guess I'm lucky. (knocks on wood)

I dont think you will have a problem. You will have to make a different dump tube if you want to run the Ic pipe to the drivers side.

Got everything done today. Had a downpipe made all for free. My friend is a welder and made me a 3in down pipe and fabed my dump tube. Tomorrow ill finish everything and see if it starts..

Got everything up and running. But my stock maf decided to not work so it idels high and doesnt run that great so ill go pick one up tomorrow. Heres a few pics

Whatt size turbo is that?! It looks like a t4 hotside I hope you get that thing to spool!! Looks like it should be good for some nice numbers though...is it ball bearing?
