Im going to try my hand at tinting my windows...................I was wondering where to get good tint for a good price............Im probably going to buy extra and practice first... Im sure its an art form but like anything it just takes patience, cleanliness, and precision..........also any tips for tinting the rear hatch???/
thanks!

two solutions....one is you can get the precut stuff off of ebay just search precut tint for your make an model...my buddy did it on his 95 maxima...sexy an i was impressed cause it cost like 10 bucks more then the autozone fake tint...or you can do what i did to my tail lights reverse lightetc its called spray tint you can usually order it from anyway like autozone an what not... like 10 bucks a can an real simple to do...especally if you no how to work a spray can :thumb:

go to walmart get anyone thats not purple, my buddy and i did the 2.5 percent tint on his windows with the tint application juice stuff they sell there and put in his bagged ranger and it came out really nice but it was way to dark and after about three tint tickets he decided to take it out so we went with the 20 percent tint and it looks really good. its pretty durable to scratches and stuff and doesnt peel off or look crappy as long as you get the window really clean, and plenty application spray on the window and tint and then squeege all the bubbles out. cost under 15 bucks for his truck but your gonna need more than one roll.. give it a shot just make sure everythings sprayed down really good so you can move the tint and get all the bubbles out

walmart tint actually worked good?????? I just assumed it would suck LOL but anyways yeah if it looked clean then:thumb: .........................Also I assume I will have to remove the factory tinting? i have heard a few ways to do this..........Any good suggestions?

walmart tint is shit, ive been window tinting for 2 years now the best stuff is the commercial stuff for buildings like "Solar guard" brand. the solar gaurd comes in 4 foot wide rolls that are really long, its expensive. good tint is technically metalized foil so you can "heat shrink" it to form to different shaped windows. good luck tinting with the walmart stuff unless your only trying to tint flat glass.

I have heard good things about the ebay pre-cut tints. When putting them on just remember to use plenty of soapy water, and a heat gun!

ebay pre cut tints are really thin and only necessary for really difficult windows like the C5 Corvette rear window since its so rounded

I know its been a year since the post, but i figured id get my first post...my experience is first, tint from wallmart, its cheap, but it kinda sucks after numerous times using it,its kind of brittle, and when you try to get out bubbles it sometimes gets scratched. Now i just did my 96 talon with Gila Gunmetal Grey mirror tint,35%.Its easy to apply and remove if you mess up.As long as you keep the windows wet.start off on the outsides, cut and move into the inside.Autozone carrys gila, and i believe advanced does too...
