Yha 10-4 to that... I called Brian personally and told him thanks for a awsome product. I am LOVING the 280's in my 2.0. They sound pretty much just like the vid with the 2.4. Totally streetable, I dont see why you cant run them in your daily driver, I do. On DSMLink the power never drops off up to 8500 the airflow dosent either. My Web Cams fell off after 7400 bad. Besides that I am making the same airflow 48-50lbs/min. ant 4-5 psi less, DAMN.

You guys sold me on the 272s. I'm ordering them this week. Still a bit unsure on how much benefit I will see on my T28, but at the price on the vendor page it's too good a deal to resist. I will go ahead and get gears too.

Not sure I'm looking forward to install though...hope there's a guide for this or it comes with instructions.

The install is pretty easy if you know the short cuts. If you want you can pay me to drop them in when you swing by for your SAFC. It would be cheap, It will take about a hour to drop the cams in. No need to wast money on gears... just drop them in straight up. You will notice a differans with your T28.

Also dont forget to get them form the best vendor you can, prostreetdsmx1! He is always here in the forums offering help and post good info.

Definately, I'll be in touch. I'm just waiting on dsmlink to get here. Waiting for all my parts to gather: dsmlink, enginerunup 150psi stage 2 meth injection, and now the cams which I order today or tomorrow.

I switched from HKS 264/272 setup to the BC 280's a couple of months ago and I'm extremely happy with the amount of top end I picked up from them.

This is my dyno sheet with the 280's: here

And the dyno sheet with the 264/272 combo: here

I didn't pick up that much power from switching cams, it was about 10-15 degrees colder when I went with the 280's, but you can still see how much top end I picked up.

JessGSX- I was looking through your threads on DSMLink forums and it looks like you sold your HKS combo for more then the BC's cost you:rocks: BTW, nice times with the 50 trim!

(Borat voice) Very nice :sneaky:

what kind of vac you pulling with those on that 2.4?

I attatched the very first log of the car idling. The tune is very basic and it's pretty rough but you can see my stats (if you have dsmlink). Still alot of tuning left to do. :rocks:

Edit: and it's not letting my upload for some reason...maybe it'll show up later (Boostest shows around -22hg)

Were these Dyno runs done at the same Boost Levels? If not how much difference?

Wow, that 2.4 sure was missing pretty bad :D

Edit guys: Sorry I wont have any sound clips up either. I blew my engine saturday night :(

well that's cool, answer everyones questions, try to help and then everyone can buy them from someone who hasn't answered a single question and refers everyone to the manufacturer for any tech info. WTF :toobad:

Just a FYI, the DSMLink boost Est. for vacuum with big cams is way off, Mine says around 22 in hg but I am pulling 8 according to my gauge. Your log will not give any info on the vacuum by using the boost est. You are not pulling 22 in hg at idle... run a nylon line to your gauge so you can get accurate readings

You are 100% right, I am sorry. You are one of the most involved vendors here and post to help people all the time (in lots of threads, not just this one). I am usually more consciences about that. I have edited my previous post to what I should have said.

If it's the same product I buy the cheapest price. Period.

I am guilty of that also, however... Yesterday I was buying some K-sports for a 1G. They had them on eBay but I decided to call Element Motor Sports (where I bought them for my 2G and my Baer brake kit) and the price was a little higher. I decided to buy from Element (even though there price was a little higher) because I have used them before with great results, shipping and packaging was great and customer service was top notch. I had a problem with my first set of K-Sports and they got it handled right away. They are also still around so I know I can call them if I have any other problems... Basically I can count on them, and that is worth something. I think that Martin is a reputable dealer that people can count on not only to do them right but also for help and support if they need it, and that is definitely worth something. If we only support the lowest price vendor, expect customer service to go out the window.

i meant my post as a little vent than anything else. i understand folks want the best deal they can find but i have always believed in supporting those who support the community even way back before i opened my shop. The community can't stay around with out support.

Yes, i know. I wasn't there when the car actually started up for the first time and didn't check the gauge either so all i have to go off of is the boostest. The airflow could also be seen by the dsmlink file as well so people can get an idea. I'll figure this out and post again.

I'll also have tuned logs for people to look at as well if you're interested.

Prostreetdsmx1 - i agree with you but in the end people will do what they want to do. Getting on someone for not referring to you is kind of tacky IMHO (but that's off topic)

So you don't need to dial in the Crower Cams? If you don't I will def go with them.
What is the typical idle vac reading with the Crower 272/272?

Was curious how these compared to the FP2X's spec wise so I went out and found my boxes...
