It is kinda sad. When Regan was president Saddam was a "great man". We armed him to fight Iran and now those weapons kill our troops everyday. Where do you think they got those 120mm mortars that they make most IED's out of. I do think Saddam needed to be killed but what ever happened to the dude in Rawanda that killed a few million in 2 weeks? Oh yeah we didnt even bother to go over there, they didn't have anything we wanted. It is a sad world we live in and it will take alot of work to make it a honest world where leaders dont have to lie to people to get what is right for our country. Come on guys, we went into Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction almost 6 years ago, and we are still there fighting and getting killed tring to impose a type of government they the people really dont want. I have spent a good deal of time in Iraq and I feel very bad for both sides. To alot of the people over there the Us looks like a invading country. If someone invaded us we would fight back too. And if they were bigger then us we would fight back the same way the insurgents fight us now. I am sorry for ranting and raving but there is alot of stuff going on over there that most people dont see. And just so I dont sound like a "Terrorist" I am in the army and I have fought, killed, and got shot at over there because it is my job. It is a good day when a man like Saddam has been put to death but there is alot more cleaning up to be done. Good luck to us all.
Well said.... now let's see which guy we'll prop up next so we can knock him down again in 20 years....some how, some way, the industry of war must be kept alive.

north korea. We are already segragating him. Then were isolating him. He is next. I call it.

I dont think so. There is nothing in NK that we want. To mew the whole point of Iraq is oil, money and position. We want to have our people over there controling things. NK has nothing and we allready have presance in South Korea. Plus it's a shit whole. The only reason we would go into NK besides if they attack SK or US. We might try to go in there to pick a fight with China which would suck for us.

NK is becoming a threat. Thats what i think they have. As for china...million man army. We only have nukes after that. Thanks for what your doing there though man.

Destined to fall.

Cowards to all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the movie "Black Hawk Down" about that? It is based on a true story, and I'm pretty sure thats what it's about.

That was Somalia, I'm guessing history and geography were not your favorite subjects. :p But of course, just like muslims or Arabs, they're all the same to us. :toobad:

Hahaha, oh well. It was a good guess anyway. Plus, our history classes only covered us up till the Vietnam war, and geography class, well that was Jr. High. Like I can remember stuff from back then.......:D

Well said man, but I'd have to disagree on one thing..the majority of Iraqis do like us. Like maybe 75-80%? It's the other 25-20% who are against us..

Where are you getting those numbers? If memory serves, latest poll taken shows the opposite, the worst was 60% thought it was justified to kill Americans. Remember, just because some want us to stay for their own agendas doesn't mean they like us. It's actually now the Sunnis (who hate us) that are affraid of us leaving too soon, the Iranian backed Shiites (who we've just armed to the teeth and also hate us) are just waiting for us to leave so they can have open season on the Sunnis. Kurds (who doesn't love us) on the other hand just want their own state and kirkuk oil fields. There can only be 2 possible outcomes in Iraq and neither involves us. 1. Three seperate states with endless fighting for oil, possiblly turning into a reginal war involving countries like Turkey and Iran due to their own Kurdish populations. 2. Another strong hand emerges like Saddam and consolidates power and enforces military rule for the next 20 years, you can be sure there will be new atrocities, torture chambers and of course, "rape rooms". My best guess is that person will be Moktada al-Sadr.

umm no. if we wanted the oil that badly, we wouldve done it 15 years ago in desert storm, which IMO, i wish would have happened, guess listening to the UN was right in the long run :| , we would have had a stable democracy in iraq, which will have de-stabilized the regions terrorist cells, and such atrocities like 9/11 might have been avoided since it would have been infinetly harder to plan, but no, bush Sr listens to UN telling him to pull back and Saddam is gonna listen to the UN now so no more fighting. yeah, that really worked good UN, ####ing idiots. Sure, letting Iraq pay is back with oil is nice, but even if their full oil production went to the US for the next 10 years, it still wouldnt be worth the billions we have spent in one year for them.

tell me, how many "Resolutions" passed by the UN must get shut down by the opposing party before they finally say "Ok ####er, were not playing anymore"? obviously you forget the countless Iraq Resolutions passed to let Inpsectors into his plants. i wonder, why, would you prohibit inspectors from entering your chemical plants to make sure theyre non-operational?

Same shit is happening now with N. Korea. Kim Jong is just laughing at the UN's Resolutions why he moves for 6 party nuclear talks just to buy himself time to amass a nuclear arsenal or weapons or whatever he thinks he can build, while his citizens rot in poverty.

Have you been to Iraq? i personally know 4 marines stationed out of Camp Pendleton, all have served in iraq, 2 are done with their committments to the marine corp and 2 are re-inlisting for Iraq duty. THEY WANT TO SERVE IN IRAQ! they tell stories of citizens of iraq who greet them with open arms, who tell stories of their dreams where one day they might have the freedoms americans have. they live in fear of these dreams. then again, you dont see that shit on the news, cause its good news, which doesnt sell. I absolutely look up to these guys, they are my ####ing heroes and i hang on their every word, cause they know whats really going on over there, they were on the front lines everyday, not no ####ing biased assed news stations.

and the reason why we are not pursuing N. Korea action is because they are not a threat to us. Their missle was a dud and their nuke test proved to not even reach critical mass, it was just a big noise maker. only threat is that kim-jong will sell the warhead to the highest bidder, which can easily smuggle it into US borders, which is another reason we need a wall. seaboard smuggling is almost impossible, going through canadia is even harder. cant fly it in, we have tracking devices that can track a plane all the way from china. gotta walk it over basically, and only one place to do that is through mexico, which is easy as hell. same goes for Iran, they will sell technologies to the highest bidder. sucks all the highest bidders are muslim extremists who will use them against america.

btw i am glad this ####er was hung. bout goddamn time. thankfully he didnt rot away in prison for the next half century and die of natural causes (or self starvation cause hes a ####ing ####y). i hope shittalking Kim Jong is next, followed by Irans ####tard leader ayahstyakjsno0iah or whatever the #### his name is.

Good to see that.
And speaking of Iraq...my wifes ex-boyfriend (loooooong time ago) and a recent great buddy of mine went missing last week. Their hum-v hit a land mine and three of the four passengers have been found dead, but all they've found of my friend is his dogtags. I have them in my hand. I guess they'll go up on the wall with my brother-in-laws and my best friends.
I don't really care what the outcome is, this shit just needs to end in my eyes. Only so much good can come of a situation with this many negative outcomes, I don't think it ever fully balances out.

Not really getting it anywhere, just a guess. Should've said it's my opinion..could be wrong. I've never been to Iraq personally..came close a couple times, but was pulled from the team due to personnel cutbacks. However, have plenty of friends who've been over there, all saying the same thing. Go through Baghdad, & most of the citizens, like Thomas said, will greet you with open arms. If the majority of Iraqis were really against us, there'd be a lot more bloodshed then there already is. Of course, just because one doesn't like us, it doesn't mean they'll have a gun pointing at us..as long as they're not shooting at us, they're alright in my book; even if they do despise us being there.

Again, these are just my opinions. I hate to use the 'my brother's cousin's friend's wife's donkey's sister told me...' method, but I'd trust my friends' words anytime over the news. I actually really wanted to go to Iraq all the times a team from my squadron was going...mainly for the experience & money, but like I said it fell through every time.

It is rather sad.

That we didn't get the sonofabitch the first time we were over there.

I don't know. The world is worked by machinery none of us has the slightest inkling about.

It's probably just as well.

x2. And also remember there was a time in our history when we were considered Terrorist.

LOL oh wow, what a way to mis-construe history.

we were rebels, not terrorists. we didnt bomb any part of europe in the name of our god did we? didnt think so. carry on.

I look at it like this: Not all Muslims are Terrorist, but all Terrorist are Muslim.

An ignorant statement from an ignorant fool.

Ever hear of the IRA? Aum Shinrikyo? UVF?

Locked, because of rampant dumbassery.
